Kevin Lowe is the Ringo Starr of hockey.

Duha voted for Lowe but not Fleury in that mock draft. What are we missing?

I always hoped (naively) they would know when to stop with the Oilers. Anderson was where to stop

but like Gillies with the Islanders or Dick Duff or whomever Kevin Lowe is the latest example they always squeeze in one too many from the dynasty teams. he was a good player, that's it

and the same class as Iggy? Puke

Kevin Lowe? My goodness, he was a good d-man for many years, but a HOF’er? Nope.

Congrats to Iggy, no-brainer. Thought Alfie might get in this time.

You mean his ability to absolutely SEWER a franchise???

Well, he's a hall of famer in my heart just for his Oilers management skills.

As for Wilson these long time coming inductions are always interesting- why now? not saying I totally disagree. I guess lowe a bit like that too...like Rogie Vachon a few years back

not sure if both Wilson and Lowe benefiting from their off ice stuff (although as suggested above only partly in jest not sure Lowe didn't hurt his case there)

on ice with the Norris etc I get it for Wilson although his numbers etc aren't that far off 'our own' Gary Suter who has a Calder of his own. Wilson is ahead I'd say but not by leaps and bounds.

Of course lowe should be in the hall of fame. His ability to destroy the oilers is worthy of celebrating.

Hard for me to imagine any player ever replacing Iggy as my favourite. Such a great player and person.

I was going to comment about how it takes legendary skill to consistently hamstring a roster with terrible decision making/ hiring/ asset management while still having the fan base and owner eating out of the palm of your hand for an entire decade.

I feel the same way, my personal connection to him is so strong for a man I’ve never really met. I’m so happy for Iggy and his family, very proud to be a Flames fan today!
