An honest energy guy, and really respect that. I also remember after MT fought Kassian and Kassian was skating off, Rinaldo stood up on the bench and said "I'm next" and Kassian became fascinated by his skate laces.

Yup - came to work everyday and did whatever he could to contribute and help the team.
Hated him pre-Flames, but really liked him once he came here. Not in the "hate to play against him, but want him on my team" sense... just in the "hey he actually seems like a pretty good guy now that I'm exposed to not just his on-ice stuff" sense.

Given the Jackets depth I think he can make that team.
The Jackets are pretty deep on the wings. There's minimal chance that Rinaldo plays more than handful of games, unless they trade some of that wing depth for a C
Being good in the room, sticking up for teammates and being hard-working comes with the job description of these depth utility/enforcer types. You're not going to hire someone with out those traits.
He had good wheels for a guy at his end of the roster. That counts for something in the league. His size holds him back a little for his role. He's a middleweight at best.
Damn. I'm definitely in the minority here but I like players like him and all reporting seemed to indicate that he is a great teammates and well-liked in the room.

May have been but he was a pretty terrible player on the ice.

I liked Zac and wished he'd have played more.
His GAF was off the charts each game he played, a trait that was in short supply last season.

With Roslovic, Texier, Domi, Kuraly, Stenlund, and Gregory Hofmann down the middle.
I think it'll be pretty hard for Rinaldo to get a look.

I think the flames picked up some better skilled players that GAF which made him expendable. They should start filling out depth with younger players as well to show the AHL prospects that there is in fact oppurtunity within the organization.

The flames need more guys like rinaldo. But with more skill.
Think that’s what the plan is with Lewis and Coleman. Leadership, championship experience and show up to play hard.
