Diego was up 8-5 in the match tie-break, Rublev wins four straight points and is serving for the match at 9-8 and double faults.

I really enjoy the Laver Cup, wish this event had been around longer. Imagine in 2005:
Team Europe: Fed, Nadal, Safin, Davydenko
Team World: Roddick, Agassi, Hewitt, Gaudio
Would have been insane competition

I just hope day 2 is as good as day 1 (with some different results mind you) because day 1 was damn entertaining.

After the win in doubles yesterday, Zverev says "this is the last point you'll win"
McEnroe goes #### that guy, and someone in the background (I think it's Opelika) says "he also says he innocent"

Kyrgios is in big trouble against Oikos, Nick looks slow out there.

Why would McEnroe not insist on a fast indoor court to help out the big servers on his team? This slow as molasses court is just what the doctor ordered for Team Europe.

So turns out it was the Big 3 that was holding back Team Europe from its full potential this whole time.

This is shaping up to be the closest blowout of all time.
