Ok ok how about those traffic circles… let’s go into this assuming only a single lane circle.
Yep you’re supposed to indicate PRIOR to doing your turn, but only immediately after the prior turnoff (or don’t leave your left blinker on to indicate you’re going around?).
Really been frustrated in Crowfoot and Sage Hill areas lately with the non indicators.
You probably don’t even know who you are.
Sigh…

I find the whole sequence fun, and an enjoyable part of my drive. Signal, enter, signal out, signal off. It’s fun. But then I’m equally annoyed that I’m the only one doing it.

Grrr. I use the Apple podcast app. I listened to one podcast and now 84 of the same show have filled up my queue. It’s happened before. Anyone experience this or have a solution?

People that insert a debit card/credit card at checkout and then put their pin in. Assuming the total is under $200, why doesn’t everyone just tap? I don’t understand why people just want to stand there and unecessarily waste time.

Go to settings and turn “automatically download” off. Also you can set a max number of downloads to keep, so if you set it to one or two it supposedly will delete the rest.

Probably had their card sitting next to their phone all the time. For whatever reason I can tap fine, but my wife who leaves her credit in her phone case can’t.

Generally because their card doesn’t tap.
Rarely because they don’t trust the “tap,” for one odd reason or another.
But, mostly, because it doesn’t work (for them).

When the tap doesn’t work does anyone feel the need to loudly announce that they do indeed have the funds and it’s just that goddamn bank or card.instantly embarrassed.

Since tap on my card coincides to a single account I have to insert my card and select Savings if I don't want the transaction applied to my Chequing account.

I think that's everyone, but why would you want it from savings over chequing?

Security features of accounts do occasionally require you to insert for pin instead of just tap.

I have a credit card that often doesn't work by tapping. It is especially bad with the terminals at the Saddledome. Overall it probably only works about 60% of the time. Making cards out of metal instead of plastic might not be the best idea.

Is that an American Express? I'm guessing you're getting some good benefits because that working rate is very low. I'd get pretty annoyed if almost half my transactions had issues.

Might be just your card? My tap (on what I think is the same card) works fine everywhere.

It might have been the card. I know that the metal layer started to separate from the back a couple years ago but I don't know if that had any impact on tap. I just received my new card a few weeks ago and started using that so we'll see if it continues to have problems. I was at a Roughnecks game a few weeks ago and tap only worked on 2 out of 3 attempts on the Dome terminals still.

I’ll download that and give it a try, using both until I decide if I’ll change.

The tap wire, if I can call it that, in a credit card is flimsy and poorly made. I had a credit card that constantly failed. So did the next two my card company sent me. Finally I gave up and now use my cards via Apple Pay almost exclusively.

My card works flawless but my wifes would say invalid pin when she tapped most times..
I thought my wife was crazy so I used it and same thing. Invalid pin error when I tapped it. Put in the card and it worked.
We are on her 3rd card. First 2 cards had that same problem.

There is a security feature on the tap function to prevent endless tapping under $200 or whatever. A cumulative dollar value before you are required to insert your PIN, which verifies you are in possession of your card to the bank. This prevents someone from losing their card and having someone endlessly tap away their account balance putting the client and the bank at further risk of losses.
Also tap feature, verified by PIN, signature required and manual entry of number are treated differently from a cardholder agreement perspective and what may or may not be covered from a losses perspective.
The banks have gotten a lot smarter and more strict with things. A lot of innovation and additional features sometimes come with an additional risk transfer to the client.
Follow the rules to a T when it comes to your cards.
