I think the values vary widely from team to team. Back when the Renegades were taken over from the Gliebermanns before folding yet again, they sold for basically assumption of debt and liabilities. When the F troup left Calgary IIRC the ownership group paid close to $10 Million. Hopefully someone can dig up related articles.

And then move them to Saskatoon, and rip apart Rider Nation from within.

Why? We'd sell them after one loss cause they're the worst team ever.
We trade Burris too.

who are we buying? i thought we are buying the Argos, i agree they suck, i'd get rid of the coach and reshuffle the team in the offseason, but keep Pickett. trading Burris would mean we would have to buy the Stamps, good luck with that

The Argos were bought for $2 million by Sukolowski and Cynamon in 2003.
That team was in bankruptcy which may have reduced the value.

It's hard to imagine that you can't turn a profit in toronto with that franchise, with the Salary cap and from what I understand, I sweetheart of a rental agreement with Rogers Centre.

I would think that TO has the lowest value of all the teams.
Just way too much other things to compete with in the city and a fickle fanbase that will only support a winner.
If you can have sustained success I think you can do well but if the team is mediocre or bad nobody wants to come out and see the game.
Plus, watching a game in Rogers Center sucks. It is a terrible venue for Canadian Football.

Not to mention the NFL games now happening in TO and the rumours that it will be home to the next NFL franchise. I wouldn't invest a cent in a CFL team in Toronto right now.

Toronto will not be getting an NFL franchise. There are numerous reasons for this but by in large, the biggest is the TV deal. the NFL's TV deal is the lifeblood of the league, and because of that they'd rather have more teams in the US so they can charge more money to the US networks.
Second, Toronto's building is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too small. The attendance for the game last year was 52,134. Peanuts by NFL standards.
Third, an NFL franchise is worth about a billion dollars, and I don't know too many canadians willing to put that kind of money out to see it come to fruition, especially now that Ted Rogers has passed away.

The Stampeders were bought in 2004 for $10 million by Critical Mass but I can't imagine them being worth anywhere near that nowadays.

your way off special one. the CFL is more profitable today then it was then (better tv deal, salary management system) and the Stamps were bought when they were a bad, bad team. there value has only gone up, especially with the strong season ticket base and hosting the cup this year

Yeah, that's what I meant. I can't imagine them being worth only ten million these days.

We should be pooling our money together to buy the Eskimos and then move them!

The Eskimos are neither for sale, nor do they have owners. Hell, figuring out who is on their Board of Governors is a challenge at times.

Don't say sorry.
That isn't close to what he meant.
He has been a ###### bag in regards to the CFL since his first day here.
Now he got called on it and made a BS apology.
