I'm surprised to see that it's 5 days into the return to play and we still haven't had any early games go into multiple OTs and push back the later games. There's only been one OT game in the Qualification Round and it was the late game in Toronto on Saturday, so it didn't have any games following it.

Johnson scores with less than 90 seconds left in regulation to give Tampa the win over the Bruins.

Boston is now 0-2-0 in the round robin and officially can't be the top seed in the East. In fact, they can't be the second seed either.

The Bruins play their final round robin game on Sunday against Washington.

Colorado has looked good and looks like they may be The one seed. we really need one of Arizona or Chicago to win so we can avoid Colorado in round 1 .

Are any of the top-4 a good matchup for the Flames? Dallas, maybe?

This is all part of Boston's plan to draw the Leafs in round 1.

My order of preference for a first-round matchup:

1. Dallas
2. St. Louis
3/4. VGK and Colorado

I think the Flames could definitely beat Dallas; I'm unsure about the other three.

I totally agree. The Flames actually have a good record v VGK away from Vegas.

I just had an epiphany while watching the period-break hot-stove:

I imagined watching hockey 20 years from now. The broadcast would be looking back over Elliotte Friedman's illustrious career after multiple decades of work as a hockey insider. It will be fun to see this old footage of him, and then remember, "oh, yeah! THAT'S what he looked like before he disappeared behind that magnificent beard."

But only against Subban, or in that one last game of the year when Vegas mailed it in and Janko scored 4.

That's fair, but the Flames also skated VGK into the ground in both their home games last season. It wasn't even close.

Definitely, but we've still only been able to beat Subban who is now gone.

Fleury with Vegas against Calgary:
6-2 win,
6-0 win,
2-0 win,
2-1 win,
4-2 win,
7-3 win,
4-0 win,
7-1 loss (last game of the year, Janko 4 goal game).

So excluding the one anomaly, Fleury with Vegas is 7-0 against Calgary and the goals scored are 30-8.

That's pretty crushing...

Those 2 games were also the 2nd nights of back to backs for Vegas, hence Subban playing both.

Are the Toronto games being broadcast in 4k?

Doesn't look like it for me.

Good chance they're just upscaled from 1080p to 4K.
