ya, this is nuts! They definitely capped it, not sure why they would do that. Maybe AGLC stepped in.

Bruins down 2-0 after 1 against Tampa. At this rate, the Bruins could go into the playoffs as the 4th seed.

They could be the first President's Trophy champion to not have "home ice" in the second or third rounds of the playoffs.

Although, with the way the round robin is set up, the Flames could be the 5th seed and still end up playing St Louis in the first round.

And we've had some say Hall is as one dimensional as Gaudreau.

He ran over Ellis then fought him last game, and played a great 200 foot game today while scoring on the PP. He also has 3 even strength assists so far.

I love Gaudreau, but signing Hall and then trading Johnny for some high end futures is just such a tantalizing thought from an asset management stand point.

I've seen Hall float many times. I think we need to keep in mind that he's playing for a new contract.

I've seen almost every offensive player in the last 50 years 'float'

Hall detractors are going to find any reason possible to be haters, example above. The guy won a hart in what was not even close to a contract season.

He's a great player who seems to have washed oiler stink off of him. I have no doubts that Hall could become the best ever UFA signing in this club's history.

Lol- potentially true.

More realistically though it's the high volume of typically risky spenders who have had no/ very limited opportunity to blow their money in the last 5 months.
Casinos have mostly been closed. Money is still somewhat flowing. Plus, purchasing a raft of tickets from the comfort of your own home avoids the main problem that I've always had: it eats into potential beer cash i've brought for the night out at the arena.

Biggest concerns with Hall have to be his age and injury history.

When healthy though his play on the ice is usually great.
