Really? What in particular?

We figure its going to be pricey, but we're budgeting for a lot of that.

He really focused on the price of meals there, talking about basic salads costing $20 for a small plate and the such.

Our attitude is that its a once in a lifetime trip and we're going to enjoy it.

Plus, I figure I've actually got a shot at making their national soccer team. Those guys suck out loud.

great market in Papeete, near town centre. Also the main square on the waterfront has all sorts of food trucks at night to eat a bit more economically.

Oh and you can try surfing there too...

Very expensive - and tons of French tourists. However, better beaches than Fiji or Tonga, and definitely less of a rustic feel.

That said, if you want the best bang for your buck, go to Rarotonga (Cook Islands). The Canadian dollar is very strong against the NZ dollar, you get first-world accommodations, it's an English-speaking island, and the beaches are just as (if not more) spectacular.

Good to know, but the trigger's been pulled. Its Tahiti. So I'm looking for advice.

I figure I've got a shot. I cant bend it quite like Beckham, but I can probably bend it better than his Tahitian equivalent.

That's awesome Locke. Tahiti has always been the island destination that I've most wanted to go to with the wife. Get one of those glass bottomed huts like in that ####ty Vince Vaughn movie! Very jealous.

I love scathing movie reviews:
