I've been watching the John Wick films for the first time.
Rather brainless entertainment but the style is great and the cast really elevates it.
Pretty good flicks.
My dog is named Daisy, after the puppy who's death touches off the whole franchise.

I've probably said it before but I think the original John Wick film might just be the perfect action movie.
The stunts are great, the fights are great, I love that he counts his bullets, the premise is simple but understandable and the villains are believable.

I thought it was downright bizarre just for the sake of it. Maybe not in a bad way haven't decided yet. The villain was weak but overall I enjoyed it. King Shark was the most human out of all the characters.
Not sure if anyone has recommended "Val" filmed a lot in large part by Val Kilmer on Amazon Prime. It's documentary that he filmed over his career pieced together from his perspective. It's very special.
I met Val Kilmer once and he was just so down to earth. Got me bumped on the list in Vegas and he didn't even know me and I pretended I didn't know him.

My wife and I really enjoyed this. I always remember the stories of him being difficult to work with and he seemed like a jerk so . You find out he was a family man that took his career maybe too seriously, but ultimately was a playful guy that seemed to have a video camera with him wherever he went. What I liked about it was that while it was a little sad at times he seems like a pretty upbeat guy that doesn't feel sorry for himself.

Good Documentary. Tough to hear him speak through the trach hole throughout.
I lol'ed when Marlon Brando simply asked for a push on the Hammock. Here's Val Kilmers hero and all he wants is a big push on a swing.
Sucks his Mark Twain project never fully realized its potential. I think it would've exploded.
Dudes a trooper though. Just keeps rolling with the punches and does what he has to to pay the bills.

That scene at Comic-Con signing fan memorabilia, where he tells the handlers he needs a break, pukes into the garbage can, takes a nap, then comes back out to sign more autographs was kind of sad but at the same time showed his ability to bounce back up and keep going.
There are moments that really give you insight and clarity into the personality of Bourdain and moments where you really start to dislike him, but then come completely around and begin to understand him.
It was stellar. We thoroughly enjoyed it, but it wasnt a lot of fun.
I was really disappointed at the 'Kid Gloves' they used on the portrayal of Asia Argento.
But to really sum it up, I loved that everyone was credited in the film by their Profession 'slash' "Friend."
I mean...that says it all. Crew, Chefs, Strangers, whatever....eventually they all became Tony's Friend.
Thats just the guy he was.

I would recommend Nobody as well. Basically the same premise but instead of Keanu it's a middle aged family man (Bob Odenkirk). Plus more humour than the john wick movies.

I have to recommend House of Wax remake. Very creepy and well done. I think it got a bad rep when it was released because it was a remake and it had Paris Hilton in it. For some reason people #### on early 2000's horror movie but I think it's a great decade for horror.
The film certainly has more in common with Tourist Trap than the original House of Wax.
