So we ready to do it one more time for Aksis?

Yup - Tyler was correct, the challenge is to dunk on the supercharge pad each time he teleports.

Biggest key is going to be the person waiting to slam Aksis until after the supercharge dunk. I can see a lot of issues where people are slaming Aksis too early and not waiting for the supercharge to occur - you actually have a decent amount of time before you miss the back slam, so you're going to need a calm and patient group to make it go smooth.

My suggestion is that the empowered people don't go anywhere. Let those that are not empowered pick up the cannons. The empowered throw the siva bombs and get themselves in position for the pad and slams in their respective spots.

With the groups I've ran with, I've found more success with a dedicated cannon person and a dedicated bomb thrower, regardless of empowerment. It seems to cause less confusion as everyone knows their roles prior to the teleport. The only key is you have to count off the bombs as you throw them, so everyone is ready when the 7th is thrown.

It really depends on the group though - leaving empowered in place to throw the bombs is fine, but it is an extra thing to think about and you don't really know your roll until the empowerment occurs.

Managed to clear Challenge mode with a group from LFG.

In a lot of ways sad that I have now cleared the content for ROI, but excited to play some other games. This xpac has been awesome, and I have gotten value for my money.

Let me know if you guys end up going in, as Im kinda excited to move to raiding more with CP and people I know.

Did you guys end up running challenge mode? If not is there a specific time that people would wanna run it?

Challenge mode was not run by us on the weekend. I did run the raid with an LFG group and we briefly tried the challenge mode, but it was very difficult. Guys were having a lot of trouble because they had two responsibilities, and you didn't know your role until the teleport - it was very hectic. We ditched challenge mode and finished regularly, so the group was coherent enough to do that.

I'd say you need a really patient and focused group, but it is very doable. It's easy to see who are the weak links very quickly though, because there is almost no room for error.

We got super close to finishing it earlier this week. I think we have the mechanic down. We just have to successfully perform it on every single stun phase. We should be able to do it tonight. Just one of my buddies was out of town since last Wednesday.

Our method was to throw 6 charges at Aksis, then before we toss the 7th one, we have each empowered person standing on right on the pads on the left and right and have the middle person standing a couple feet off the middle pad between the front and back spawn locations (so middle guy doesn't get slammed by Aksis heh). Once you see where he teleports, you actually have time to run from the pad to your designated dunk location.

Our bud is back in town today so I think we'll be able to complete it tonight!

Edit: Yup! Worked like a charm. Got it done last night after about 3-4 tries. The emblem....so beautiful... *sniffle*

Got another group trying Aksis challenge tonight - really hope we can finish it this time. It's from a fresh run, so we should have a good idea how good the group is before we even start the challenge. Cross your fingers!

I have taken a small break from the game, as there is not a ton to come back to rather then completing challenge mode to make my armor shine more red. But I am really missing Raiding these days.

Would be a ton of fun to setup a night where we run through the raids. VOG, CE, KF and WoTM.

I'm taking a small break as well. Finished CM the week before so I essentially ran out of content haha. I'm actually fine with this. I obsessed over this game enough over the last few months. I'll probably get back into it soon enough. I always come back...

Success! Woo!

The group I had was actually really good - took about 50 minutes to get to Aksis and Part 1 was a breeze. We actually beat Part 2 twice because we missed a slam right before he did final stand and didn't get challenge mode done. I was the only one in the group that hadn't finished challenge mode yet, so big thanks to those guys sweating out another 30 minutes of Part 2 so I could grab my emblem.

I think it's time for me to focus on the last thing I've never actually accomplished - the Lighthouse. I've got a long way to go, but that is my last mountain top.
