Sharp-Toews-Bergeron is a pretty nice line to send out against other teams top guys or for defensive faceoffs.

You could argue that with the incredible depth that the team has you can afford to hold a spot for him and if he isn't up to speed you are not losing anything. I still think he is young enough that if he didn't make this team he will make future olympic squads, use the spot for a healthy body.

Holding a spot for the best pure goal scorer in Canada, when he is expected to be healthy in time is a surprise to you?

He spelled it p-a-y-o-f-f and was told to try again and this time spell playoffs not what happens when you score useless points when oilers are out of the playoff race.

You have to take a chance with Stamkos as he is the purest Canadian goal scorer and should be healthy for the Olympics.

Many top players at one time or another were speaking about how much they'd love playing with Thornton. Still one of the best playmakers in NHL.

The Russians are scared of Nash so that helps going into a hostile environment.

Didn't even think about that angle.
Yes, he was Weber's partner from Weber entering the league to Hamhuis going to Vancouver IIRC.

yeah that's the best they could do. 4pm local time is as late as it gets for an event before the closing ceremonies. Turin and Vancouver gold medal games were at 1pm.

Looking forward to seeing the Sedins get crunched by Keith, Weber, Subban, and Pietrangelo.

Iginla is more deserving than Nash.

St. Louis deserved to be there this year and deserved to be there four years ago. Hockey Canada and its club politics is ridiculous sometimes.

I think that Iginla offers a lot more as a spare pick than Marleau and/or Nash.
He has shown that he elevates at the Olympics more than basically any other player.
