I think Bergeron plays as the 13th Forward, taking key faceoffs, and penalty killing.

He's the reigning Norris trophy winner, not Marc Andre Bergeron. He plays lights out in big games, he's shut down Ovie and Sid in the post season. Worry about something else.

If I remember correctly, Doughty and Keith played together in 2010 in Vancouver and were amazing so they will be put together I suspect.
Pietro & Bouw will likely stay together with their current chemistry.
So that leaves Weber to play with the other 3 damn in my opinion.
I suspect you see Subban and Vlasic rotate with Weber depending on the situation; PP/losing = Subban; PK/winning = Vlasic.

Kunitz-Crosby-Stamkos
Duchene-Getzlaf-Perry
Benn-Tavares-Carter
Sharp-Toews-Nash
Bergeron
Marleau
That is my guess for lines, Bergeron and Toews on the ice for all defensive zone faceoffs.

There is no chance that Canada has the two top faceoff players in the league playing on the same line.

From what it sounds like, we kinda deserve to lose just based on the pompousness of this announcement spectacle.

Nothing reminds you how good and deep we are then seeing all the rosters announced. This team (on paper) is heads and tails above the other teams announced or to be announced in every position except goal (and I'm not saying we are bad there, just a few countries that I feel are equally as good or a little better). But the D lines and Forward lines are miles ahead of what other countries are bringing but of course you have to play the games.

Silver and Bronze aren't winning. Especially when you are a powerhouse like Canada.
If you are going to be happy with a Silver or Bronze then Bouwmeester should help us get there!

It's actually one thing I love about Toews (and see in Monahan) - all business. If they win gold, Toews will smile.

Well, no matter what you're going to leave some elite players off the Team Canada roster but still have a quality team. Hard to look at any of the picks and say they totally don't belong.
Still, Carter was a big left field pick for me. I'm guessing it was because he's a natural goal scorer? Would have gone with Neal if you want to go that route though and stick him with Crosby and Kunitz (showed chemistry when Malkin was out). Nash and Marleau are both "meh picks" as well. Would have taken Giroux and St. Louis with those spots instead.
Like the D and the goalies, aside from maybe Crawford getting thrown into the mix, were pretty much a given.

I really like Suban as the 7th guy. He kids first line PP plus lots of time if we are down a goal. Up a goal though I don't play him outside the powerplay.
Fantastic defensemen but gets frusterated and takes untimely penalties. I agree though he will be a great asset for Canada.

Nash was given a spot based on his relationship with Hockey Canada not his play this season. Seguin should have recieved a spot based on his spectacular play this year. Hard work I guess doesn't always get rewarded.

It's why I would have liked him to be captain. He's got that high strung Messier leadership quality about him that IMO makes him the best captain in the NHL.

Can I worry about your concern with what I'm worred about?
I don't like Subban. I think he's a top end NHL defenseman, but on this team and for the construction of the team to win the gold, I think I would have left him at him or pinch hit him on the PP.
Agree to disagree.

It takes a special kind of hater to completely gloss over the golds.
I was noting Bouwmeester's history of international success. You can be bitter at how Bouwmeester was generally disappointing in Calgary all you like, but he belongs on this team.
