City looks all 6's and 7's out there. Terrible game and effort. They look totally disorganized and outclassed.

Getting their revenge for earlier this year. Who needs Coutinho?

If Liverpool has Valencia and de Gea, they’d win the league.

They need a good CB pairing as well

VVD could be half of it

Could be interesting to see their fitness next month too with fa cup, cl, and league games ongoing

Klopp teams have faced late in season before

I finally watched the match, I recorded it because I had things to do and, quite frankly, I was not holding out a lot of hope on this one.

What a match, just fantastic. Lots to say but not a lot that hasnt already been said, but I liked the discussion about City not playing well.

Liverpool forced City to play Liverpool's game. Every time City had the ball they got blitzed, just relentless pressing and that forced a lot of scrambling play rather than what they're used to.

Most teams sit back and defend and let City have the ball, by pressing them constantly they generated a ton of turnovers and then City had to play out of their comfort zone and do the same just to regain possession.

It was like a brawler drawing a boxer into a streetfight, they were out of their element and they didnt like it.

It was a gameplan that was designed to throw City off their game and it worked, the only real flaw was that you cant maintain that level of pressing all game and we saw it drop off at around 80 minutes and thats when things got interesting.

Amazing to watch.

Sounds like City are out for Alexis, but apparently Chelsea are in. Nothing would be more hilarious then Wenger selling to Chelsea out of spite, and Conte buying just to piss Mourinho off. Like a bunch of high schoolers.

nah, the BBCs article says "City believe Chelsea might be interested". Nothing more. Even Matt Law says he's heard nothing on Chelseas end, and that's probably the most reliable Chelsea reporter out there. Would love him to sign for United but also won't lose any sleep if he doesn't.

In any case, I've absolutely loved the media coverage of this transfer. Lots of saltiness and bitterness from several "experts" who wouldn't have bat an eyelash if it were City who were offering insane money, but because it's United it's "money over trophies". Yeah, right. Those idiots are so deep in Peps behind that City have suddenly become a shining light of morality in their eyes. Amazing really.

He's flavor of the month, happened to Jose at Chelsea the first go around as well, sort of happened with Poch and Klopp as well over the past few years but not to this level

Even though City have so many attacking Mid/Flanker type players that the best one in the world is playing deep, they aren't being criticized for this. But United, who actually need a player like that, are being criticized.

like Devo says its all who each Media person is aligned too aka who they have sources from and will be willing to be a mouth piece for it

Media likes to build them up to tear them down when things go south. Next year when City don't win the league the articles will change. Players might value trophies, but money is what they value most, so the media even trying the "he's choosing money over glory" always strikes me as strange. Oxlade-Chamberlin is the rare time I've heard a guy take less money, and that was to play the role he preferred since Wenger had no interest.

Theo Walcott to Everton looks done

That's a really good signing imo, they badly need some pace, he should open up a lot of space for their slower attacking mids (Gylfi and Rooney)

Sanchez to United is apparently done and for a staggering 500k/week. It's hard to put all the blame on City/PSG, etc. when they're paying that kind of wage.

Good for him. Even better for Pogba and De Gea, who likely can't wait to start working on their new deals.

hes going for cut rate because of the contract

its the same thing as Zlatan

they are spending less money over the course of the deal than I bet City have spent on 95% of their signings the last few years
