Haha this is an absolute joke. He should be 3rd on this list.

But hey, Edmonton, keep on stackin' up those individual regular season awards. Go bonkers.

You'll never win when it counts.

Great you led the league in points but if you are on the ice for the most goals against in the league for forwards at even strength are you really the best player in the league?

Panarin: GF-89 GA-49
Draisaitl: GF - 80 GA - 77

I know what one of those two players was likely more valuable last year.
They should also consider that fact that he isn't even the most important player on the team. I hope the leak is wrong, because I still can't understand Draisaitl winning when the criteria is the most important to his team. I don't think anyone can convince me it is him over McDavid.

The worst part about this will be Principe before, during, and after games when talking about Draisaitl.

From Jack Han (former Marlies assistant coach and former Maple Leafs video coach) and analyst "JFresh". Labelling this player most valuable is laughable.

Any chance they’re wrong and are trolling Oilers fans?

Yeah part of me is thinking that the Finns are trolling the Oilers for how they’ve handled puljujarvi. One can dream. One can dream.

if Mackinnon doesn't win it is robbery for for the second year in a row. He is the most valuable player in the NHL today.

Lol draisaitl

Lol.

Actually awarding it to to that guy is an effective way to tarnish the reputation and meaning of this award.

Draisaitl is a lost puppy in his own zone when he plays centre, doesn't know where to go or who to check. Just hopes for a loose puck so he can shoot the zone.

I don't think it is a leap to say his offensive output is benefited from him jumping the zone. He only really cares about stats. No more evident when at the beginning of the year he said if he could change a rule in the NHL, it would be to allows shootout goals to count towards players stats.

Goes down as the worst MVP of all time. When you look at the stats line, he's was more effective being dragged by McDavid but struggles without him and is terrible without the puck.

This was more of a popularity vote without looking at the actual player.

Its good it will increase the Oilers ego and when they miss the playoffs again next season, they'll turn on the German Uberman and demand his trade (Which the Oilers will frack up), and Drasaitl will turn into a package with the best piece coming back being Cody Ceci.

Oh my God. I’m about to puke. Gretzky with his Oilers shirt on bragging for 5 minutes about the Oilers, himself, Messier, McHobo, and now he gets to add Draisaitl. Who cares Wayne??? McHobo and Draisatl only care about padding stats. These 2 supposed superstars have managed to get their team to the playoffs once, i say that again, once in five seasons!! I know one thing, if I could choose one player to start a hockey team with, I’m taking Nathan McKinnon every day of the week and twice on Sunday!!

All 20 people who placed MacKinnon 4th or 5th should have their credentials taken away.

I'd say the five who had him 5th should also be sent to the gulag, but I imagine they're already living there.

I said it before, I’ll say it again.

Draisaitl was OBJECTIVELY the worst player in the NHL for a entire quarter of the season.

He was getting outscored at a rate of 6:1 while 5on5 during that quarter. By far the worst in the league.

At this point the Hart seems like a redundant award, since it goes to either the Art Ross or Vezina winner more often than not.

This is a bigger travesty than when Rob Zamuner made team Canada.

It doesn't even make sense to have two players in the top 5 of an MVP category

Look lets put it this way, he's the MVP of a team that rarely makes the playoffs and is one of the worst teams of the century.

This is like me being the most valuable employee of a company that makes leaky adult diapers..

All this does is make the Oiler fanbase and media believe that they are on the right path (They're not). And it will be even more crushing as the team continues to suck, and will destroy them when they read these headlines in the near future

Glamour Twins, Draisaitl and McDavid demand a trade.

Former MVPs to Oilers "We want out"

Draisaitl returns to Germany "I couldn't spend one more day in that crap hole of a city playing for that crap hole of a team"
