Where is the quotes from King where he stated something like the following:

"We wont be doing this in the public eye like Edmonton has. Essentially we will bring out our signed deal without all the threats and rhetoric that was thrown around up North"

Thats the one that keeps ringing in my head since the Flames stomped away from negotiations like a spoiled child.
I remember that also and I think it was at one of the Season Ticket Holder sessions.

I think the issue is they had some flaws that they had in place that made the building vulnerable in the event of a once in a lifetime flood. And they probably figured it was unlikely it would ever burn them. Then that once in a lifetime flood happened.
So yeah I guess on them
But also a bit of bad luck.
Not everyone damaged by natural disasters gets fully repaid

This is actually top notch journalism!

I hope it makes the local media!

But, again, wasn't it $3M for repairs? So less than 2% of their annual revenue to pay for repairs of a once in a lifetime (hopefully!) flood to ensure business as usual on opening day?

One of the main reasons King was hired for the job he has is so that this type of stuff specifically does not make it into the local media.

Kings quotes should read like this

Quote:
"It's an issue we have not resolved . We know where we can put a building and we know what it can look like . We know lots of things . We do not have an answer to the financing question ."

I just wanted to say this is freaking awesome. The research done puts hacks like Bell and Francis to shame and is one of the best things to ever come out of CP.

You need to write a book on the arena saga when it is finally resolved.

There has to be a way to publicly bring light to this body of evidence in a STH meeting or other forum where they would need to answer to this. I am sure that local sports writers would pick up on this, so well done regardless.
