I've been somewhat unfair out the gate with AEW, sitting back with an eye on it cautiously wondering if I actually like it. On one hand they do have my favourite of all time in Chris Jericho, and some of the best workers currently in the industry in PAC and Omega as well as some of the best minds working behind the scenes in guys like Dustin and Arn. But on the other hand, you have those glaring TNA issues: Picking up WWE throw-aways like candy, guys whose stars have faded or just never raised up; a strange obsession by the "head" guy who is more or less the brains behind the thing making sure he's front and center; rehashing old, failed WCW ideas. If they start copying WWE story lines too, it's a big old yikes from me. But here's where the unfair part is, I have been sitting back and waiting for all this sort of stuff to happen, and it may be a bit of me over-analyzing their product looking for this sort of thing as opposed to just enjoying it for the good in it.

That all being said, I will never take a show that puts a focus on the Young Bucks seriously. They're capable of being incredibly talented performers who instead choose to be spot-monkeys that make a mockery of their opponents in a way that would make Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior blush. I just cannot understand their appeal.

I'm not really a fan of the booking, its too WCW, with inside jokes that only the bookers would find funny.



I've always been a fan of Jericho, he's one of the best minds in the business, but at the same time does need someone to filter him. But when he goes to wrestle, to me its just time for him to stop wrestling.



I was expecting some great creativity from Moxley, but all he's done is create a Stone Cold Steve Austin character.



Over all its ok, but they really do trim the roster, they need to get away from the whole reliance on factions and zany.


Oh and I've always thought of the young bucks as spot wrestlers with no clue about Story telling or ring psychology. But if you want a authority storline you turn Cody and the Bucks completely heel with the whole this is our ring and your lucky we let you into it angle.


Oh, and the womans division really needs a lot of work.

Jordan Deville and Ligero being accused of abusing wrestlers both are signed by WWE


David Starr has been accused of being a sexual predator and all of the indy feds that he works with have stripped him of his belts and disassociated with him.

Yeah, Riddle though is on the hot seat, and he's had nuclear heat in the back for a while.



I would expect that in the cost cutting measures that are coming, even the hint of something like this is going to get you released.

What is with the seemingly high number of wrestlers/commentators/promoters with underage stuff going on? This is such a bizarre situation. The whole community seems to be turning on each other, but at the same time maybe people are finally speaking up about the crap that goes on in that carny world.

I think this has been going on for a long time, look at the WWE scandal years ago with Terry Garvin and Pat Patterson. Bishoff and his wife and the scores scandal. There are lots of rumors that were floating around. In Stampede Bruce Hart had an affair with a 14 year old that he knocked up and married.



The ring rat culture was huge and probably is still huge.


I expect that we're just at the beginning of this thing.

Feels like the WWE has thrown in the towel with the fiend and are reverting Wyatt back to the crazed preacher of the family.


Its too bad, originally the fiend stuff was really good, but they then went on and made him pretty much a jobber.

I don’t think so at all.

I think they are building it up. First Strowman faced the new Bray Wyatt, now he’s going to face the past Bray Wyatt, and then last he will likely have to go through the fiend.

That's exactly what I think. Braun didn't fear the new Bray Wyatt, he showed signs of fear of the old Bray Wyatt so I think that will be used to break him so he's not so confident facing The Fiend.
