Hope you don't have Matsuyama, he just withdrew.
Also, they're in a delay, going to be nasty all weekend. Probably a Monday finish.

Sucks that this tournament is now in March and not in May.

This was its old slot, and I like it. It got kind of got lost in the middle of the majors in May, and the course was pretty crispy. I don't think it is always this stormy in March, but just bad luck with a big system moving through.

The leader Varner III at -7 gets to 17, triple bogey.

Luckily I enough I never did. I probably edited my lines a bunch of times and had him in at one point, but final lines never had him. Unfortunately I do have Adam Scott in one

pretty tough conditions out there with the rain but no wind and soft greens. I think the guys playing two rounds today will have an advantage over the guys who play round 2 tomorrow where it's going to be really windy.

I'm not even sure if they can get this finished on Monday now. Maybe Tuesday but even that might not be possible with the conditions.

yeah, we're probably an hour or 2 away from the end of the first round and hopefully the current guys can turn around and finish maybe half of their 2nd round.

They are already saying they won't be able to start tomorrow until noon so it might be a struggle to have a cutline by the end of tomorrow.

And even that may be optimistic. Supposed to be a severe storm coming through until 10am. If that is later than anticipated, plus cleanup? What a mess of a weekend.

Pretty annoyed as this is the first tournament of the year that I set aside time from a typically full schedule to lounge around and watch some golf. Was going to sit there, beer in hand and watch 3-4 hours until the final hole Sunday.

Play is underway with sunny skies and high winds.
Three guys who came out and had to play 17 immediately, Scheffler, Schauffle, Koepka all in the water.

I don't know if anyone will hit the green!

What a massacre for the late/early wave.

Draw effect is like 3 shots to the field.

Only 19 players on the course inside the cut line.

Currently 71 players E or better.

Schauffele got his on the green, but Scheffler looked like a lot of CP hacks with his shot. That wind was really screwing with guys as it doesn't feel the same on the tee as it is up high. Xander hit a low punch shot to get on the green, Koepka hit one twice as high and it bannana'd right back into the drink. Scheffler...well he just boinked it the whole way. When you see guys this good look this bad, it shows just how much the wind can mess you up.
