Default Day 9 (PM of February 12 - AM of February 13)

Men’s Curling starts us off at 18:05, Canada (2-2) faces USA (2-2) on CBC. At the same time we’ll have China vs Great Britain, Norway vs Sweden, and Italy vs the cheaters.

Women’s Monobob starts 18:30, I think this may be shown in part on Sportsnet1. Canadians Cynthia Appiah and Christine de Bruin of Stony Plain are competing. Former Canadian Kaillie Humphries makes her Olympic debut for the USA. Run 2 should start at 20:00.

Qualification in Women’s Slopestyle Freestyle Skiing starts at 19:00. Olivia Asselin and Megan Oldham are the Canadians competing. This might be on Sportsnet1, it might be on CBC.

At 19:15 Run 1 in Men’s Giant Slalom starts. Calgarian Erik Read joins Trevor Philp in this event. Run 2 is at 22:45 and I believe will be on CBC.

At 21:10 Slovakia faces Latvia in Men’s Hockey. This should be on TSN, TSN3, or TSN5.

Women’s Curling starts again at 23:05 with Canada (1-2) facing Switzerland (4-0) on CBC. At the same time we’ll have South Korea vs China, USA vs Sweden, and Denmark vs Great Britain.

The Men’s 4 x 10km Relay Cross Country Skiing event starts at 00:00. Graham Ritchie, Antoine Cyr, Olivier Leveille, and Remi Drolet make up the Canadian team.

At 01:40 Finland plays Sweden in Men’s Hockey, I think this will be on CBC.

The Women’s 10km Pursuit Biathlon starts at 02:00. Emma Lunder is the lone Canadian competing.

The Men’s 12.5km Pursuit Biathlon starts at 03:45. Jules Burnotte along with Calgarians Christian Gow, Scott Gow, and Adam Runnalls compete. I think this might be on Sportsnet.

Qualification in Women’s Aerials starts at 04:00 and it should be on Sportsnet1.

Also at 04:00 the Quarterfinals in the Men’s 500m Short Track begins. Steven Dubois and Jordan Pierre-Gilles are both in the fourth race. This will be on CBC. The Semifinals are at 04:27. The Finals start at 05:09.

The Finals in the Women’s 3000m Relay start at 04:35 on CBC. Canada is in the A Final.

At 05:05 Men’s Curling is back with Great Britain vs Denmark, Switzerland vs Italy, and China vs USA. I think coverage of this will be on Sportsnet.

At 06:00 the Men’s Team Pursuit Quarterfinals begin, I think this may be shown on TSN2. Jordan Belchos, Ted-Jan Bloemen, Connor Howe, and Tyson Langelaar are the Canadian team.

At 06:10 Canada takes on China in Men’s Hockey on CBC. At the same time the USA faces Germany , this should be on one of the TSN channels.

At 06:56 the Women’s 500m Speed Skating begins and I think may be on TSN2. Marsha Hudey, Heather McLean, and Brooklyn McDougall are the Canadian skaters.

I’m having a hard time catching any of the mens and womens curling. 6 on Saturday isn’t ideal either but hopefully can catch the late game. Both are important games for Canada.

After 3 Olympics in Asia in a row I’m really looking forward to Paris just for the sake of my sleep

Team Canada with a STEAL OF 4 against Team USA in Men's Curling to go up 5-0.

EXACTLY the kind of momentum they need.

Another medal hopeful, Cynthia Appiah, has a God awful first run in Women's Monobob that puts her well back already.

Needs to make up a TON of time

Also worth mentioning that Canadian-turned-American, Kaillie Humphries (who won 2 Gold & 1 Bronze representing Canada), is sitting well in first

All of a sudden the plot has thickened in Men's Curling.

Gushue leaves his last stone well short, allowing Shuster a shot for 3 which he huts.

7-4.

Still in the driver's seat but Gushue can't be committing errors like that

Between Nick Baumgartner (Snowboard Cross) & Shuster, I'm hating how much I like some American Olympians

Canada easily hangs on for the win in Men's Curling.

Hopefully that gives them significant momentum that is also shared with the Women's team
