Default Day 6 (PM of February 9 - AM of February 10)

At 18:05 Women’s Curling begins with Sweden vs Japan, Denmark vs China, Great Britain vs Switzerland, and the ROC vs USA. This should be on TSN2.

At 18:30 the Women’s Snowboard Halfpipe Final starts on CBC. Elizabeth Hosking and Brooke D’Hondt the 16-year-old Calgarian are the Canadians competing.

Also at 18:30 the Men’s Figure Skating Free Program begins on TSN1 or TSN4. Canadian Champion Keegan Messing is currently in ninth place. I think CBC will be switching over to this once the Halfpipe Final is done.

Run 1 in the Men’s Individual Skeleton starts at 18:30, I don’t think this will be shown live on tv but hopefully it pops up on one of the channels. Calgarian Blake Enzie is the lone Canadian competing. Run 2 begins at 20:00.

The Men’s Alpine Combined starts at 19:30 with the Downhill portion of the competition. Broderick Thompson, James Crawford, Trevor Philp, and Brodie Seger are the Canadians in this event. This might be on Sportsnet1 after the Raptors game finishes but I’m not sure.

The Seeding for Men’s Snowboard Cross starts at 20:15. Eliot Grondin is a definite medal threat and he is joined by Liam Moffatt and Kevin Hill as the Canadian competing. This might be on Sportsnet1, I can’t tell if it will be this or the Alpine.

At 21:10 Sweden faces Latvia in Men’s Hockey, I think this will be on TSN2.

At 23:00 the 1/8 Final in the Men’s Snowboard Cross begins, this should be shown in full live on CBC. The Quarterfinals is at 23:37, the Semifinals should begin at 23:58. The Finals will begin at 00:15.

At 23:05 Men’s Curling continues with Canada (1-0) facing Norway (1-0), this should be on TSN1 or TSN4. At the same time we’ll have USA vs Sweden, Great Britain vs Italy, and China vs ROC.

The Slalom portion of the Men’s Alpine Combined should begin at 23:15. I think this will be on Sportsnet or Sportsnet1.

At 00:15 the Women’s 10km Classic Style Cross Country Skiing event starts. Cendrine Browne, Dahria Beatty, Katherine Stewart-Jones, and Olivia Bouffard-Nesbitt are the Canadians in the event. I’m not sure if this will be on TV anywhere so we may need to watch on the CBC website.

Finland plays Slovakia in Men’s Hockey at 01:40, this should be shown live on CBC.

The Mixed Team Aerials Freestyle Skiing starts at 04:00, I think this will be on Sportsnet and it may be shown in part on CBC.

At 05:00 the Women’s 5000m Speed Skating begins and should be on TSN1 or TSN4. Fresh off of her Bronze Medal in the 3000m Isabelle Weidemann is the only Canadian competitor and will be in the fifth pair to skate.

At 05:05 Jennifer Jones tries to lead her team to another Gold Medal in Women’s Curling against South Korea. This should be shown in full on TSN2. At the same time, we’ll also have China vs Switzerland, USA vs Denmark, and Sweden vs Great Britain.

Canada begins the Men’s Hockey Tournament at 06:10 against Germany. This will be shown live on CBC. At the same time the USA will face China, I think this will be on Sportsnet.

The Mixed Team Relay in Luge begins at 06:30 and it should be on TSN1 or TSN4. Canada will be the eighth team to slide.

I think that’s it, pretty full night so plan your naps accordingly.

Nice! I didn't think there was much on tonight other than 5 hours of the men's long program.

Does this mean there’s a co-ed 2 person luge? Hehehehehe.

I read somewhere that all two person luge is technically mixed, but nobody ever uses that option in practice. probably because two-man is the most likely configuration for actually winning (unless the definition of winning is also up for debate).

MASSIVE development in the Figure Skating Team Event.

Canada could very well be inline for an upgrade to Bronze Medal position if Russia is DQ'd as a result.

But still, so sad. SHE'S 15 FOR CHRIST SAKE

He is breathing extra life into this in place of loud crowds. Amazing.

Yea, Craig McMorris provides incredible insight and enthusiasm.

Also excellent at showing no biases at all towards brother Mark

Jack Crawford is kicking some ass in these Olympics. Hopefully he can finally pick up a medal.

Argh, curse the time difference, now we will all miss the penultimate event of the Olympics *shakes fist*

Although truth be told, probably a good one for insomniacs

Medal favorite Eliot Grondin off to the Quarters in Men's Snowboard Cross.

Other two Canadians fail to advance

I'm pretty optimistic that he can hang onto that spot. It will be awesome.
