Must be a Norwegian net cord - That's a tough way to lose a tie-break.

Bad luck for Shapo on that net cord to lose the tie break, but if he doesn't open with a double fault or mess up the point at 4-3 that he had full control of, it wouldn't have gotten there... That being said that was actually a really well played breaker for Denis for the most part, kept it close and fought hard for every ball. The problem right now is Ruud's serve is really tough to get back in play it seems like.

The commentator just made reference to Peter Polansky as coach Peter Polansky. Not sure if that's official, but he has been travelling with Denis for the last couple of weeks.

Just getting tired of bad line calls having a big impact on clay matches. We have the technology, use it.

This missed forehand at 4-5 30-all could really come back to haunt Denis. Ruud was on a knife's edge in that game.

Denis is bringing back serve-and-volley tennis on the clay of all surfaces.

Ruud is a really good player and this is his best surface. I can't really be mad at Denis for this performance.
EDIT: I can be annoyed by his body language though. You're trying to hit clear winners, how can you be frustrated when some of them land out? If you don't want that to happen stop aiming for the lines. Same problem as ever.

Just to add on to CHL's post above, really excited to see Bianca back and playing as well as she is after a long layoff. To take the world number #1 to an opening set tie-break certainly proves that she's not that far off, it's more a matter of getting her match fitness back to the level it needs to be which will come as she plays more matches. I think it's safe to say that nobody is looking forward to seeing Bianca in their section of the draw at the French Open.

Well Novak with the break this might be over. For me Felix was not aggressive enough, he was always hitting right back to Novak not trying to go for winners. No matter who you are, you are not going to out rally Novak, you need to be the aggressor. Of course Novak is world #1 for a reason and he has been rock steady back there.

Definitely not an issue with Felix not being aggressive enough. Djokovic is simply playing like one of the top 3 players who has ever lived. I give Felix massive credit for hanging in with him and making it interesting. Probably had the top 5 points in the entire tourney in that match alone. Full value for the crowd there, even if it was only 2 sets.

You may choose to double fault away your match, Aryna, but this will not help save you from the Iga. The Iga will find you sooner or later, and bagels will be the result.
All hail the Iga.

Iga rolls to another title, she is dominating the WTA tour right now. Really hope she can win another French Open title this year she deserves it
