It was either Meatloaf or Beastie Boys. I can’t remember which one I attended first. But both of them ruled.
My first ever big concert was Genesis in Montreal(1980) but my best experience was at a place called lulu's in Kitchener, Ont in 87 or 88 where Meatloaf and the B52's made an appearance for a few songs on the same night. I fell in love with Kate Pierson that night. She was the first girl I ever saw wear tights and she wore them very well
Lulu's was somewhat Canada's version of Studio 54 back then except 10x larger
The Tragically Hip on their Phantom Power tour at the Northlands Colosseum in Edmonton. It was also the day that Theoren Fleury was traded from Calgary. Gordie slipped that into his lyrics during Poets. "Don't tell me Theoren Fleury got traded"
