There were a few really bad sketches in the Jamie Foxx episode (especially the Christmas tree pimp) and Ne-Yo is horrible, but I liked the episode overall. Dermot Mulroney/Dylan McDermott and Maine Justice were two of my favorites sketches of the year.
The first game show sketch was a waste of time. Seth's wisecracks were lame, and the Mrs. Claus jokes although funny were pretty clichéd and nothing shocking (Aidy Bryant needs some better material).
Maine Justice was terrific, and it was nice to see Charlie Day.
Jamie Foxx is full of himself.

Easily the worst episode in years. Foxx was brutal and way too high on himself.
The crystal sketch was funny but its pretty bad when the last sketch of the night is the best one. Other than that it was total garbage. Even update really sucked.
"SNL" is returning for only two December shows before disappearing for almost another month. It's hard to build momentum with that much time off and, without a major news story or scandal this week, this felt like a show with no purpose and no momentum. This wasn't Foxx's fault, who, with a sketch comedy background, is certainly a talented enough host, but this was a show devoid of anything particularly memorable. (Well, except for a warped version of Maine and Dermot Mulroney, of all people.) Let's just get on to the Scorecard, shall we?
Sketch of the Night "Maine Justice" (Jamie Foxx, Jason Sudeikis, Aidy Bryant, Bobby Moynihan, Charlie Day) During the second season of "Survivor," a friend and myself used to find enjoyment by referring to the contestant known as Kentucky Joe as Maine Don -- primarily because no one would ever nickname a human being with a thick Southern accent after the state of Maine. So, yes, the idea of an entire stereotypical Louisiana courtroom set in the state of Maine appeals to me greatly. And it didn't hurt that every time Jason Sudeikis spoke, it reminded me of his character from the NASA sketch.
Easily the worst episode in years. Foxx was brutal and way too high on himself.
Yeah Fox has been pretty unbearable for a while now. He comes across as an arrogant bully. Worst Jamie Foxx moment for me was his needless ruining of Doug Williams:
Granted Williams took a few shots himself and did start things, but Foxx just took things too far.

Ok, watching the east coast feed, and it's pretty damn good. Marty Short brings the funny at the top of the show, and Sir Paul rehashes his songs from 12/12/12 - including playing with some friends.

Wow, what a show! By far the best one this year. Lots of laughs, not very many forgettable moments. Martin Short was awesome and I loved seeing the three remaining members of nirvana rocking out together again with Paul.
What did he say? On the feed I watched they didn't even do the usual "bleep" they just straight up made it silent. Figured it was pretty bad.
I don't know how long this clip will stay online (bad words in clip title)...
NSFW!
Jackson claims he only said "Fuh" and he was supposed to get cutoff so it sounded like he was going to say the F-word but didn't. He did clearly follow it up with "this is bull####", though... https://twitter.com/SamuelLJackson/s...86515873738752
