BSD with another great game

Refs were bad, the Gio goal was definitely interference and the Huberdeau trip was weaaaakkk

But I'll take the 2 points

And the Yandle's chop?

strongly disagree and Florida had one penalty all night...Slashing penalty on Hamonic was just as weak

It seemed to me that Gio was pretty much mid release when Tkachuk initiated contact.

Usually if a player initiates contact with a goalie it ends up being no goal, just no consistency I guess.

No doubt it wasn't our best effort. But I thought they played pretty well overall in the second half. Hell, down 2-0 and then came back to win it.

Exactly what I was thinking when I saw it, and if Florida comes back to tie it, it's 100% on the refs.

Call the GD game properly and you won't have these issues.

I don't entirely agree.

The first period was awful, but I thought the Flames responded really well in the second and the first half of the third. The Panthers pushed back, and that will happen. This was overall a much better game than the Colorado game.

Well I mean it doesn’t say anything in the rule book about only giving a 10 because you want to go home.

We aren’t talking a love tap here, if Monahan moves and Yandle doesn’t expect that it’s a broken wrist. Yandle should be sitting a game in my opinion.

Nah, it was similar to the Dallas goal against Rittich. Bumped, time to recover and face the shooter, good goal. Gio hadn't shot yet.

Unreal that all Yandle got was a 10, how you don’t have a 2 or 5 with it makes no sense.
Cassie said she didn't think he intended to hit the stick. Not saying she's right about that, but if the refs only believes Yandle is lashing out on them, I suppose it explains it.

#Flames RW Michael Frolik's parents were at the Dome for tonight's game (1G, 2A): "It's always nice when they come. You want to show them you can do good, right? Over the years, they get more nervous than when I started...

... It's kind of crazy to sit beside them, especially my Mom. Nobody wants to sit around her."

"Hopefully they didn't leave the game after the first... I'm just kidding."

Not even close to mid release, that was one heck of a hard shot. He was slightly brushed outside his crease and had enough time to set.

not even close...the "contact" was before the release, Tkachuk was bumped in by the dman, and Lou reset...he only took a dive after the puck beat him.

Refs finally got one right IMO

Flames have only had a couple flashes of solid 60min efforts the last couple of weeks and they’re 7–1-1 in their last 9.

I love this team.

At the end of games lately. My mistake.

The team is playing dynamite too. Definitely out there with their A game.
What's your point?

This team is 2nd in the league ffs.

If you don’t intend to high stick someone it’s still 2 mins.

Refs blew that call, Yandle was a moron for doing it.

That's ridiculous. That's like saying "oops I don't mean to high stick him".

Control your stick.

I would go as far as saying the Flames dominated periods two and three...they had a lot of good looks that were blocked or missed the net

far from a perfect game but, this is the NHL...not always gonna be easy

How was that a weak goal? Wrap around and like 2 whacks at it allowed afterwards. Zero defense there. The whole team seems to check out when the game is seemingly in their pocket, that last minute goal vs CHI was in fact a 3 on 1, Saad decided to shoot and caught Rittich by surprise. Avs game, instead of potting an empty netter to make it 5-2, they cause an odd man rush the other way and Rittich mishandled that shot. Today they were given a PP with under 2 minutes left, but few seconds later there is a 2 on 1 that could result in season ending injury for Rittich. Whole team kind of checks out, if you want to single out Rittich it's just not fair as he is the reason Flames are still winning these games when they just don't bring their full effort for 60 minutes. I am pretty sure Rittich hates these last minute goals more than anyone as they hurt his save percentage. Point is there shouldn't be these kind of chances in dying seconds everytime.
