Default Unpopular Movie Opinions

Thought this would be a good spin-off of the music one. Kind of a guilty pleasure thing I guess (which we've had threads on before) but I was looking for anything Movies. What movies do you think are great or terrible? Actors? Directors? Cinematographers?

Armageddon is a good movie

Tron: Legacy is awesome

I like all of the Jurassic Park movies.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is the best superhero movie ever made. (some may have it high on the least, but haven't heard any think it's the best)

Three Kings is a magical journey.

The Dark Knight was garbage.

Jonah Hill take down a peg every movie he is in. Some of the movies he is in are good, but would be better without him.

Will Farrell was funny for about 5 minutes 10 years ago. Now he is unbearable.

The 1999 remake of House on Haunted Hill was actually a pretty enjoyable movie.

Oh, and 99% of sports films suck. Draft Day and Moneyball included.

The original Matrix is better than all other Sci-Fi movies and had the writers not been complete one hit wonders, the Matrix trilogy could have been better than Star Wars.

I'm a sucker for action packed movies even if there isn't much of a story. So pretty much any Michael Bay movie.

And how can I forget, Lord of the Rings.

Other than great special effect, there is nothing stimulating about any of those movies. I can't even stay awake for them. They are too long for children's PG films. The dialogue is terrible in them all (and why do the American actors in it talk like they have fake accents). The little adventures and events throughout the films are typical of other stories of the same genre.

As someone who never read a single Tolkien book growing up and have not nostalgia attached to it, as stand alone films, they suck.

Serious pacing problems, and too long. Plus the grand plot of a diabolical madman was just kind of boring.

In spite of their flaws, the Hobbit movies are good.

All 3 Hobbit films are better than The Fellowship Of The Ring.

The original Planet of the Apes with Charlton Heston was the best sci fi movie ever made.

Steven Spielberg is overrated.

Raiders Of The Lost Ark is boring, Last Crusade is superior.

Agree with Will Farrell. I really don't get the hype with this guy. I find almost all his films unbearable to watch. When you see him live he seems to be pushing so hard to get a laugh its almost embarrassing.

Oh and Kung Pao Enter the Fist was one of the greatest comedies of all time. It was so good when it first came out.

Independence Day is an amazing movie and I am genuinely disappointed that Will Smith is not coming back for the sequel.

Every Marvel superhero movie is terrible. This includes but it not limited to any and all Spiderman movies, all X-Men movies, all Avenger movies and their even worse spin-off films, and all the other myriad of flops they have created.

Johnny Deep is one of the most overrated actors going.

The Social Network is the best move of the last 10 years.

Drive is the most misunderstood film in recent memory and is top 5 best movies of the last 10 years.

Will Smith is one the worst actors ever. Because of him and his over the top acting I hated Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
