Modding an Xbox 360

Been having a ton of fun playing NCAA 14 ever since Covid hit. Theres a new release of the game called College Football Revamped. It requires you to have a modded xbox 360 and some other things that I haven't a clue about.

Any one in here have any expertise in this realm?

I bought a modded Xbox 360 and modded Xbox OG from some dude in Edmonton (modznrepairs.ca) who sells pre-modded consoles as a service.

Only console I have ever modded myself is a Nintendo Wii, which was stupidly easy.

Years ago my buddy and I were modding 360s as a hobby. We had it down pretty well. It's been a while since I've played my modded 360 but nothing but good times with that system.

The last modded system I had was an original Xbox that was back in 2004-2005. That thing got me and my buddies through the NHL lockout. Had a 250gb hard drive installed which was the biggest we could get at Best Buy at the time. Rent a game from blockbuster and copy it to the hard drive. Had emulator for NES, SNES, Genesis and 1000’s of games. We had 1000’s of songs saved as well. It was a system ahead of its time and was amazing.


Have not had a modded system in the last 3 generations. Way back when I had the MOD chip in the original PlayStation where you could rent and burn games. Fun times

Used to be able to flash the firmware of the dvd drive and play copied games back in the day...not sure if that is a thing anymore, probably better methods now.

Whatever the methods, something that is absolutely awesome is that we can now just follow a video guide on Youtube or wherever else. Not a 360, but I remember doing modding or flashing custom firmware back in the day and following the worst webpages of poorly formatted text and double, triple, quadruple and asking a friend to double check the interpretation before proceeding at times.
