How unreal would it be if we ended up with a RHS C!
I mean, even if he doesn't pan out at that position, we have a RHS RW which is a huge team need.

Lol nice catch! Only thing I can think is there was a delayed penalty and the goalie managed to get off before the finish.

That or one player was about to go off for a shift change when his replacement had already come on the ice and the play was already over. Might as well go celebrate with everyone!

Coronato's PPG of 1.09 is 9th in the NCAA for players under 20, well ahead of names like Chaz Lucius (0.67 PPG), Ayrton Martino (0.65 PPG), and Mackie Samoskevich (0.59).

Boltmann picked up 1 point in his last 4 games. 17gp/1g/7a/8pts,+12, 16 PIM. He is tied for 25th amongst D-men under 21.

I thought Boltmann was a wasted pick? It's why you have to give these guys time and see what you have at each level they play at. Amiright?

Hopefully Boltmann pans out, but I don't think those numbers are going to make any doubters (like me) change their minds.

You are right, but I firmly believe (I know, I'm not in on any scouting meetings) that they didn't need to spend a third-rounder to get him-they could've easily got him in the later rounds...
He's also still very much a longshot, those numbers (while interesting) still aren't mind blowing.

Boltmann strikes me as one of those boom or bust picks that some fans often clamour for. He may not turn out, but the Flames took a chance. From my limited viewing of Notre Dame games, Boltmann has speed and aggression on his side. I presume he has leadership as well since he was captain of his last team. Perhaps some traits to build on

Agreed. In limited viewings he is noticeable for being involved in the game and maintaining a presence in each zone, but his play doesn't suggest he possesses a handle on the nuances of play that would enable him to do more than react appropriately to flow during the course of a shift. The Flames likely took him with the hopes that he would grow given his limited experience in comparison to his peers, so there is hope he develops into a mire commanding player while at Notre Dame. They may have been able to get him later in the draft, but the skills that drew scout's attention are apparent.

In his last 3 games, 1 assist for Boltmann. 20gp/1g/8a/9pts, +12, 20 PIM. Tied for 67th amongst D in the NCAA, but his +/- is tied for 20th amongst D and 34th in the entire NCAA.
For D men 20 years and under, he is tied for 22nd-and is in the same company as guys like Guillaume Richard (10pts), Shai Buium (9pts), Ty Gallagher (10pts), Brock Faber (10pts), David Gucciardi (8pts), and Ty Murchison (7pts), although Boltmann is a year older.

Not Flames related, but this is a rare situation with a drafted player signing an NHL contract and walking away from his college team mid-season:
https://twitter.com/user/status/1480317022672019456
LaFontaine is already 24 years-old and was drafted by the Canes in 2016. He was in the middle of his 5th NCAA season (because of COVID, players were allowed to extend their eligibility by a year). He also left college for a year in 2018-19 to play in the BCHL and keep his NCAA eligibility.
He played for Minnesota last night in a 6-3 win over Michigan State, so it would seem like this was a very sudden decision on his part.
