Our politicians have been feeding us turds and dirt for decades.
When we finally actually vote for turds and dirt, they seem to have a problem dishing it up.

the short (and sad) answer is that right-wing populism has been a massive problem here in Europe and some #### papers like the Sun have spent years brainwashing the people in England. And for the politicians it's been simply political warfare and party over everything else.

No and people aren’t saying that.
However, you can bet your ass that close to 100% of racists who did vote, voted for Brexit,

Is England in such a good financial state that it can weather brexit with no rules?
Whats the best case scenario? no more immigrants for the racist?
Can their dairy or meat producers make more now with less competition?

England and Wales voted in favour of Brexit. N.Ireland and Scotland voted to remain.
During the Scottish referendum, the Scots were told they couldn’t remain in the EU as an independent country and the only way to remain in The EU was to vote to remain part of the Union.
That worked out well.
Meanwhile Northern Ireland voted by a large majority to remain in the EU yet it is hard Brexiters from NI that are propping up the Conservative minority government.
It couldn’t possibly be more ####ed up than this.

Wait till there is another referendum and it swings close to the other side. There will be immense unrest I would think. I don't think you will suddenly see a 70% stay as a lot of people seem to think.

Oh and another thing. The Leaves side broke electoral laws during the Referendum. A referendum where people voted by a narrow majority for an outcome they knew nothing about.
Source on breach of electoral law:
Vote Leave broke electoral law, Electoral Commission expected to say http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-44704561

You are the first person I have ever heard say people think there would be a swing like that, never mind a lot.

No unfortunately the morons that voted for the desert, thinking it would be ice cream, now that they have been told it will be turds or dirt, still think the Turd will turn into ice cream because its a unicorn turd.
the kippers are just morons

Perhaps this is a good example of how not to hold a referendum. A plan should have been made prior to even embarking down the course of an exit. All EU countries to come up with those eventualities and come to an agreement in the event this rears its head again.

What they should have done with the first one is similar to what we did with our Olympic one, where council wouldn't have been tied to ensuring the Olympics come(no expense spared, must happen even if it means bribing everyone), just that we continue with the bid process if it makes sense. It shouldn't have been a Brexit or not, but a "do you want to begin the process of investigating leaving the EU?" Voting yes would mean there would be a another referendum after the facts are available.

Except the deal you would get from the EU would be even worse than the one they have now.

Are you suggesting the current situation is better? At least the British public would know it is a #### deal before eating the sandwich.

It was a non binding vote, what you lot don't understand (and why would you, this is a peculiarly British delusion) that this was never a vote about leaving the EU, the Tory's wanted to end the anti EU rump in their party, what they didn't factor in is that their policies over the last ten years have decimated the UK for ordinary voter and most of the leave voters were just pissed off at the world in general and the Tories in particular.
The UK prides itself on being a world power but life for the ordinary voter is grim and poor compared to things here, the country is dirty badly run, roads are dreadful, the police barely functioning the health service falling apart.

Referendums are only as good as the information given to the people voting.
Unfortunately that information is very malleable depending on who has more interest and money on one outcome or the other.
