I bet they're saving some stories for a second season. I finished and loved this one. It hit all the high points for me but there's a lot they haven't touched on so there's plenty of content for another season.

Challenger: Final Flight was spectacular. Informative, emotional at times, well produced.

I can't recommend it highly enough

I still have very sharp memories of that as I was at school studying for finals when it happened and the Librarian had been playing the launch on the TV's in the Library.

I remember everyone was really upset about it, and one of my teachers was crying after it happened.

My Octopus Teacher

As a scuba diver and lover of ocean life it was an amazing story but I think the story just holds up on its own. Octopus are incredibly intelligent and this shows that to a T. An incredible story.

Finally got back into Archer after I stopped watching during the noir detective season. Danger island was ok, but Archer 1999 in space is fantastic. The entire cast back together with their usual personalities, each episode is self contained, it's pretty much classic Archer, but in space. Really looking forward to the new season as well now that the coma seasons are done and they go back to good ol' spygames

The first 2 new episodes aired and are great as usual.

I'm not scuba diver and really enjoyed this one. It had a bit of a Werner Herzog feel to it because it was very calming.

The octopus was a bit anthropomorphized but that's to be expected in a documentary.

I already knew that octopi are incredible animals, and that movie just reinforced that belief.

The thing it proved beyond a doubt though: that fellow needs a girlfriend.

High Score was enjoyable but felt a little muddled trying to tell a chronological video game history while giving each episode a specific focus. The first four episodes were the best because the had more focus feeling like a “consoles that made us” on the Atari, NES, early PCs, and Genesis. The final two were a bit all over the place. I’ll watch more but would have preferred something more to the format of Toy or Movies that made us focusing on a console or game series.

Finished High Score too and while it was fine it was pretty short on depth and cohesion.

Some way way better video game documentaries were:
- Atari: Game Over
- Game Changers: Inside the Video Game Wars
- Indie Game: The Movie
- Indie Game: Life After

Game Changers is what this series was trying to be but didn’t come close.

Hoops.

Definitely 18+ but pretty funny in parts!

It’s not my usual preference but we’re well into season 1 of Heartland. I probably wouldn’t watch it if it wasn’t filmed AND set in Alberta. My wife finds it nice that we’re not watching my usual crime/action dramas. It’s soapy but well done and I love some of the characters, who are all Canadian. The lead actress is a seasoned horseback rider and it shows.

Watched Devil All The Time and it has a very good cast and a very good story. Had the same vibe as There Will Be Blood with the mood and intensity at times. Really well done movie. Highly recommend.

Went to check out the trailer on youtube as I had never heard of it and the highest rated vid is "Netflix's Hoops is painfully unfunny".

We thought Paradise PD was bad? Hoops is worse. Somehow Netflix has out done themselves in their attempt for least funny adult animated comedy.

I could see myself liking it if I was 10 years younger maybe, but much like Paradise PD, I think I'm just too old now for the over the top, ridiculous for the sake of ridiculous shows like that

Watched the entire thing (save for the ep about FPS..never been my thing and thus have no nostalgia for it), and loved it. Very well done. Loved all the stuff about Street Fighter II that one ep.

The FPS episode is worth a watch. I’m not a huge fan of the genre either but story behind the tech was still interesting to learn about.
