Very interesting documentary. Led me to walk down memory lane as the case unfolded in real time. The new perspective on the backstory was illuminating.
Ha! After watching the Netflix series, these 2 username choices stand out:

The posters at HFBoards.com have dug up a post made by Magnotta back in December of 2010, ranking his top five Russian hockey players. He apparently made multiple posts, but never more than one per username. His username here is "Katherine Trammell," a misspelling of Sharon Stone's character from Basic Instinct

Been really enjoying the "WWII Events in Colour" series! Very informative.
Agreed, fun series to watch, even if the the colour aspect was perhaps a bit overblown (it wasn't bad, but maybe not quite as impactful as in the WW1 doc They Shall not Grow Old).
I think they were able help the Montreal police by linking him to both the murder and the kitten videos. It seemed like the police found the evidence from the rented apartment that tied Magnotta to the murder, but may not have been aware he had anything to do with the kitten videos? Initially the police and media thought Magnotta was the victim, not the killer.
The docuseries was definitely drawn out too long given it focused mainly on the Facebook group not really doing much.
I've emailed Mark Zuckerberg and proposed that a variant of this be added as Facebook's official slogan.
"Facebook: A Bunch of People Really Not Doing Much."
Call your Grandmother. With a phone. Or just show up for cards and cake on occasion. She'll appreciate it. Also there will be cake.

I've enjoyed it too, but a couple of things bugged me. The Battle of Britain episode has footage from the 1969 film Battle of Britain (which has amazing aerial combat scenes) and I'm pretty sure the Pearl Harbour episode had some footage from Tora! Tora! Tora!
Now I'm sure 99.9% of the viewers don't realize that, but including it with real footage seems a little deceitful. I never did pause on the credits of either episode to see if they credit the films or not (I would assume they did).

It was dramatic enough. The real larf was when the police got involved and just showed how irrelevant the bizarre Facebook sleuths were.
Watched Marriage Story, and very meh. This is nominated for awards for probably an accurate portrayal of family lawyers but not regular people. Annoying to me was that they set the main characters as actors/directors, and everything seemed to be about the wine and good conversation and drama. Seemed like a privileged person's divorce which just didn't resonate with how real everyday parents, parent. Some long take monologues acting-wise were well done, but really a year from now it'll be very disposable with such a boring story. 2 of 5 stars for me. Was nice seeing the guy from MASH, though I was too young to watch the show. Amazing he's still acting.
Watched The Two Popes last night and surprisingly I liked it. Good dialogue, explains a story, and great casting. The cinematography was solid as well. Didn’t try and hide what went on in the church and portrayed the popes as normal men. I’d give it 3.5/5.

That movie just bugged me, was depressing and I want to punch both the characters.
