Even if they “redeem” Nate, I don’t think it’ll matter much. He’s one of the few characters throughout any season that is just entirely unlikeable on every level with zero redeeming qualities.

I don’t think there’s a character arc there that would be believable enough for me to buy it, so I’d rather they not try.

Nate has been unlikable by design. Agree with fuzz his obsession with how he appears on twitter is going to drive him up the wall, especially once some scandal happens.

Specially in the EPL. Have you seen EPL twitter? it's a cesspool. Being a minority certainly doesn't help

In fact, being anywhere near West Ham fans doesnt help either...

would that whole press gallery really just chuckle along politely to Wonder Kid's mean spirited and vulgar insults at football's nicest guy? do they only send supervillain henchmen to do the Q&A at West Ham's media sessions?

Media that attend these events are there just to make the person being interviewed feel good.

He could have kicked a puppy on stage and they'd have laughed and cheered. Thats who they are.

I'm guessing that there's a contingent of British media that don't like Ted because he's American etc. etc. as well.

Loved Bad Sisters! A boatload of fun and “wife approved” (which is always a good thing).

After several people told me to watch this show, I finally checked out a few episodes.

It's not good and doesn't deserve any of the praise it's getting. I dislike Jason Sudeikis in almost everything he's in, so I'm sure this has something to do with it.

Well. You are just objectively incorrect.

I liked them slagging on both Chelsea and Hallmark movies this week.

I dont know about the rest of you, but I think Trent Crimm is a giant D-bag ass hole and is completely untrustworthy.

Clearly you missed the start of his rather prominent "d-bag" redemption arc this week.

That would make for an interesting turn. We'll have to see.

Wasn't Trent Crimm already sort of redeemed when he befriended Ted after originally being a critic? Interesting to see where this goes and I enjoyed getting more background on Roy. Thought his confession about Chelsea was also about Keeley.

Loved the Roy and Jamie scene too. Jamie calling himself a body scientist had me roaring with laughter.

Maybe I'm just a simple schlep but I get all of the good vibes from watching Ted Lasso. I'll take any positive feelings I can get and this show provides.

I forgot how funny the show was. Ted's responses to breath of the wild and the infinity gauntlet cracked me up good. They've found a kind of niche dad humour specific to his character that plays on his clueless happy go lucky demeanor.

I also appreciate that most of the characters feel like they have souls, and are inherently good natured despite the flaws in their character traits. A lot of shows dehumanize characters and use them as plot devices or turn them into caricatures.

Even with nate, they almost go in the caricature direction, but then they give him those little anxiety moments and the texts with his parents to remind us of his vulnerabilities and human side, even with how far he's gone down this path.

Cool to see such a highly touted show still playing to its strengths without becoming watered down or redundant. I think so far its an uptick from S2.
