Janko out of the three. He really made an impact on my opinion with his Frozen Four tournament this season. He's going to be a good one.
Hickey's great. He'll end up next I think.
Granlund is an NHL'er IMO. Had the same issue with another player last year. Love the player. Needs to shoot way more IMO. Shoot shoot shoot man.

Best part is, we're in round 6 with a near-3-way tie and all these guys have top line / top pairing upside IMO.

What does a guy have to do to keep his top 5 prospect ranking?
Based on his AHL season Granlund was the #5 prospect last year. He totally exceeds expectations and plays more than half the season in the NHL.
Gaudreau graduates and Baertschi is moved....so instead of moving up to #3 Granlund is going to be 6 or 7 or maybe even 8th.

This year made me think Granlund is an AHL/NHL tweener. He looked meh when he was with the Flames. Therefore his upside dropped in my opinion while Hickey's rose. Basically a player's development isn't linear.

Granlund was leading the Flames in Points Per Game for the first 3 months of the year and I still think he has growing to do. He's going to be a really good player especially once he starts shooting more and improves on faceoffs.
Hickey looks like he's developing into a #1 defenseman to me and I think he is hugely underrated on here. I would have him as our top prospect ahead of Bennett. Not a knock on Bennett, that's just how good I think Hickey's going to turn out.
Jankowski showed a lot this year especially during the NCAA championship tourney and I see lots of upside with him also.
I voted Hickey but I wouldn't be surprised if they all tied like Ortio and Gillies did last year.

My vote for #6 was Klimchuk but given these three choices, I'll go with Hickey. He looked pretty good as a freshman the times I saw him with BU. I still like Granlund but his offence seemed to dry up the latter part of the season. This could be because of being stuck on the 4th line but still, he needs to show more IMO.

Still would vote Kylington over all 3 but chose Janko. I think he's going to be a good player. Hockey would be my next vote, Granlund last.

Only if you think he's done developing at the age of 22. You might be right, I had the same thoughts myself at times, but this was the first season he had significant games in the NHL. People need to remember it took Backlund a while to prove himself at the NHL level. Granlund is comparable to Backlund imo.

Hickey, 17 points in 41 gp in the NCAA following your draft year is outstanding. I think his size and skillset will translate well.
lol, poll currently has 2 votes seperating 1st from 3rd.
