Will be so nice to get some reinforcements during the Olympic break. Team is incredibly thin and struggling.

Brzustewicz, Gridin and maybe Kirkland, who needs waivers first
Brzustewicz would be the biggest add, imo. Wranglers desperately need offense from the back end. Miro has the highest point total among blueliners with 16. Poirier offence has dried up

No question. Losing their top three D in Solovyov, Kuznetsov and Bru has been impossible to overcome.

Aspirot also gone from last season and Poirier has been very bad.

Wranglers lose again, this time 3-2 in OT to the Condors. All 3 stars were Bakersfield players. Ike Howard gets the winner.
Bishop (Mack. Ottenbreit)
Morton (Hunt, Kirkland)
Gavin White gets no points, with 3 shots, and a -2.
Sergeev stops 27 of 30 in 60:41. He is 1-3-5-0, with a 3.04 GAA, and a .903 SV%.

How is Sutter as a coach by the way? Or can no one save this team due to the call ups?

I cant really speak to how the coaching is cause I dont know enough about how sutter works etc, maybe our resident secret agent tacoman has some insight!
But from watching most wranglers games this season the call ups have really hurt them, especially on defence losing Bru and Kuznetsov has visibly made the defence worse. I personally thought they looked a lot better when Parekh was down even though they still lost, just because he could move the puck.
It looks like they are struggling in the d zone and on the breakout a lot, which is where bru specifically seemed to excel for the wranglers. This is all of course just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt lol

They do not really have a great puck mover anymore.

Ya Miromanov is probably their best puck moving defender now, I dont know what it is about him, some games he looks great and others just invisible.
Cicek, Ottenbreit, and Grushnikov are all absolute gamers and I think really smart pickups for the wranglers but are never gonna put up a ton of points. Morin might be good, but hes obviously being sheltered a lot. Will be interesting to see how Gavin White fits in now and if he can put up some more offence than Poirer was.
It's gotta be tough/frustrating being in a development league like the AHL sometimes, especially when youre losing all your top players to a team like the flames who are rebuilding (no one get mad at me for using that word).

I wouldn't be shocked to see the team build up some organizational blueline depth with a NCAA free agent or two this spring/offseason. Someone a little older that can slip easily in the AHL. A tweener type, or possibly even becoming a legitimate prospect.

Jake Livanavage at North Dakota comes to mind. A skilled undersized offensive blueliner
Kent Anderson, a Calgarian at U Denver. Stay at home defender who has been great supporting Zeev Buium last year, and I think he is partnered with Eric Pohlkamp, NCAA top scoring D-man this year.

Kent is a great kid. Took over from Carter as Captain. He’s on the third pairing. Pohlcamp plays with Boston Buckburger (all name team) on a stacked first pairing. Kent is a very steady, very defensive dman. I’m guessing guys like Jamieson and Hurtig would have more upside. I agree, though, that we need to expand our depth and could use a college FA or two.

Good guys get their butts kicked, 7-3 by the Tucson Roadrunners.
Suniev (Miromanov, Frk)
Morton (Ciona, Brzustewicz)
Miromanov (Bishop, Kirkland)
Only 3 points in the last 11 games for Kerins.
Stromgren has no points in the last 8.
Sergeev stops 18 of 23 in 32:50. He is 1-4-5-0, with a 3.37 GAA, and a .894 SV%.
Prosvetov stops 2 of 4 in the last 27:10. He is 8-7-1-1, with a 3.35 GAA, and a .896 SV%.

Ugly ugly game. Team is not at all performing the way the need to. Blaming the D core and the goaltending is too easy. Very few guys playing well over the last month.

Any kind of explanation why?
Illness?
Depleted roster?
