It's too bad Draper seems cursed with the body of a 50 year old man like me.

That final is going to be ugly for either player, but especially Zverev. His serve and inability to move forward is going to get eaten alive.
The only wildcard would be what type of player is left standing if Alcaraz and Novak end up in a grueling battle that goes 4+ hours it could somewhat level the playing field.

Swiatek playing like absolute garbage right now. Three double faults in 3 games, first serve percentage well below 50, dumping balls in the net. Still up a set, down a break, but this is what it looks like when she loses.
Edit: and just like that she turns it on and plays 7 excellent points and we are all square. Maybe it was one of those early 2nd set Iga vacations she tends to do.

Pretty impressive tennis from Haddad Maia forcing a second set tie-break.

Really tight tiebreak with some really great play at the end, the rally for Haddad Maia to save the first match point was outstanding. But, Iga gonna Iga, ultimately.

I find Zverev one of the more boring top players on the tour. Really tall guy with good serve that camps behind the baseline with no flash or wow in his game at all. Medvedev is almost the same guy but at least he has the behavior quirks and unorthodox form to separate him from other players.

Medvedev has a strong, reliable second serve and can vary his game with more than just a single tactic if things aren't working. The fact he is a bit of a wild card like you say, works in his advantage too.
I can honestly not pick out anything that Zverev has improved on in the last 3-4 years aside from hitting a few more aces with a frantic first serve. His second serve is arguably the worst on tour. Such a waste considering he's got all the physical tools to be just as good as Medvedev.

that makes sense. Charlie and Novak have an extra day's rest, they should go first. Ruud finished late last night.

Pretty good first set but Alcaraz has to pick up his return game, especially on break point. Djokovic doing Djokovic things

Novak getting a visit from the trainer - It might be the elbow, but he's also looking pretty tired to me. Missing shots he usually makes with ease.

Djokovic calling a trainer for his elbow, if im Alcaraz I would be comfortable just getting into very long rallies, really test it out.

Man I don't know how a pro can hit with TE. I am struggling with it right now and there's no way I can hit normal pace as you feel it every hit.

Yeah, especially with the club Novak wields. I've read his swing weight for his racquet is 360 - 370 grams, only Stan and Andy Murray swing racquets in that vicinity. Conversely, Alcaraz is in the 320 - 330 grams range.
