According to the broadcast Ross Brawn wants to switch to an Indy style restart and have them accelerate at the green flag. Makes way more sense than the current system.

Indy/Nascar style restarts the leader still gets to decide when to go, he just has to decide by a certain point.
I do think they need to make a change, but going to a double file restart in F1 is insane. They is so much debris off the racing line to make that a possibility.
They would likely have to move the start finish line to the front of the grid at some circuits.
