I was reading an article on the Athletic where several executives and scouts weighed in on the QB's and it was said that three teams don't even have Tua on their draft board. Many of them seemed to think he's a good talent that's going to be too fragile to make it to a 2nd contract without being damaged goods. Mentioned that it will take a year to see if he's free and clear of developing AVN (avascular necrosis) which would significantly shorten his career. Also he had the lowest Wonderlic score of all QB's (13). I wonder if he slides more than anticipated although it's hard to imagine the Chargers not picking a QB.

Interesting. First thing I noticed was WR doesn’t matter. Lots of amazing names with crap scores.

I would prefer Peyton Hillis comes back before any Wisconsin running back ever. They’re all trash. A halfway motivated Leonard would be my preference.

Basically they just took their Colour Rush uniform and made a road set for it too. I like it, was just expecting more of a change than the tweak they did. Going back to the 90s royal blue would have been cool.

Why? You can get a back in the 20-60 range that can produce better

Cooks is only 26 but he's got concussion issues and is making $12 million a season for the next three seasons. I am hoping raiders can grab lamb at 12, but if somehow he, jeudy, and ruggs are gone

I'd trade back from 12 into the early 20s maybe, and pick up a few more picks in 2nd or 3rd

Then take one of the next group of jefferson, aiyuk, Pittman, Higgins, shenault etc.

The Jags are as dysfunctional a franchise as any in sports.

Its amazing to me that a smart guy like Shahid Khan who came from very humble beginnings and knew how to grow things by getting smart people around him to help, has allowed his franchise to become a complete and utter disaster.

This tidbit i thought was interesting

The most interesting part of this draft, to personnel people, is what will happen when round seven is over. Every year, after the seventh round, scouts and coaches from the 32 NFL teams spend about the next two hours bartering with agents of undrafted players and with the undrafted player, trying to buy them cheap (2019 Pro Bowl running back Austin Ekeler cost $500 to sign as a UDFA in 2018) and do it while competing with 31 other buyers. But usually everyone’s in the same room doing it, or in rooms very close to the draft room so they can report when they land a player—or lose one. By the time the night’s over, more than 500 players will have NFL teams. Think of it: Almost double the number of players will get signed in two hours than get drafted over three long days.

Yeah I'm hoping for Lamb at 12 and either LB or CB at 19. If Lamb is gone I would be okay with Jeudy at 12 but IMO it's a reach to pick Ruggs this high.
I realize Ruggs (only one drap last season) doesn't have lobster claws like DHB but the Raiders haven't fared well on the boom/bust picks in the past and would rather they pick a more polished WR.

In that Peter King article i linked ^^, he goes into a really interesting look at WR draft positions and demonstrates the value of waiting to get one in the lower 3rd of the first round or anywhere in the 2nd.

Really eye-opening.

In the past four drafts, teams have picked 11 wide receivers in the first round and 19 in the second round. The production of the second-round picks, clearly and without ambiguity, has been superior to the first-rounders. I totaled the 30 combined seasons of the first-round receivers and plotted the average season, and then did the same with the 40 combined seasons of second-round wideouts. The numbers:

Average season of 1st-round WRs, 2016-19: 32.8 receptions, 450.1 yards, 13.7 yards per catch
Average season of 2nd-round WRs, 2016-19: 52.8 receptions, 681.8 yards, 12.9 yards per catch
