Great to hear. Chaisson is a decent depth NHLer. I feel he really hurt his brand by being misplaced for most of last season as a first line player, and that's resulted in him having to take the PTO and league minimum (or close to it) this season. Hopefully, he can have a strong year, and get a decent 3rd liner contract next.

So we essentially traded Chiasson for Glass. We lose a bit of offense but in turn got some more grit back, but we got a player that is 6 years older. I am indifferent. Thoughts?

Fair value for Chiasson. I think he is an NHLer but that is about it. I also got the vibe that he had a pretty good attitude here and tried hard whatever line he got put on

I'm one of the people who thinks Chiasson is underrated here on CP. Good for him

I would argue that Lazar fills more of the role Chiasson was in, but whatever.
Chiasson played pretty well for us, once he was on the 4th line, I thought. And I wish him well. Glass provides a different role, and I am confident that we have enough 4th liners around (it looks like Brouwer will be in that spot for now) that we are improved regardless.

Pretend we traded Chaisson for Jagr and you'll be much happier.

I always liked Chiasson for whatever reason. Not in the "sad to see him go" sense, but nice to see him find a job. Decent depth player, hope he has a good season when not playing against the Flames.

Former Flame signs with Washington the same day a former Cap signs with Calgary.
