Could be interesting

The board called it off, but to get zizou back then promised him total control

great, now I'll just always be disappointed when Stanley Cup winners lift the trophy instead of hugging it.

The problem with Liverpool supporters is that now matter how annoying they are, they're all nice guys. So I want to hate them on principle, but they're too nice. I don't expect many to know who he is, but I had the incredible pleasure of meeting Mohammed El-Arian this spring (leading up to the CL final) and he was one of the nicest people I've ever met. Yet he supports Liverpool (rabidly). I suppose everyone has their faults!

He praises Liverpool, hugs the Champions' League Trophy and berates Trump and Boris Johnson and all in under 6 minutes.

He should get a medal.

This is true actually.

Unlike Arsenal supporters who are annoying, and all usually jerks as well.

LASK pulled off a major upset in the last round, winning both games against FC Basel (2-1 and 3-1). I'd be super happy for them if they could pull off another surprise and beat Brugge, but I doubt it ... at the end of the day, LASK is the 5th or 6th best team in Austria and they simply overperformed last year under coach Oliver Glasner (who's now at Wolfsburg in Germany) while other "big" clubs struggled. Still, rooting hard for them. Having 2 Austrian clubs in the CL group stage after many years of not even having 1 would be incredible.

Pulisic looks like a player.
Interested to see how he fairs this season (although I want Chelsea to lose every match).

Didn't get talked about much here but Porto and Celtic both being out so early has to be huge disappointments for those clubs.

Crazy that Ajax had to go through the early rounds of the CL after being in the SF.

he decided to play for England. Played for their U21 at the Euros this summer, also U19 and U20 before. Officially ended his international commitment with Canada two years ago:

Quote:
He said: "It was a tough decision because I'd spent two camps with Canada and had built relationships there, but when England came calling they had the Euros and the World Cup to come so I thought it was a good opportunity.

“Having grown up and playing in England, it was a bit easier as well so I think I made the right decision and it was one that I had to make."

I'd like to see the angle VAR used to confirm that penalty. Couldn't see any contact from what they showed.
