Default Robber with knife stomps on clerk

http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/canada/c...ideo-1.4493090

Thank goodness that the clerk is OK. This has now happened four times since May 2017. Unbelievable that the police didn't release a public warning to convenience stores after the second time this happened.

According to the article, the same store was robbed twice.

Piece of trash.

If they catch him they should charge him with attempted murder using a weapon so they can put him away for the max 7 years.

It used to be that clerks and workers were told to obey the robber, but we've seen that might not be safe. The Convenience store across the street from my house and the clerk got assaulted with a club and ended up fighting the pair, fleeing and locking them in the store.

Are we going to end up having clerks locked in a booth like they had in more violent areas in the States.

You can talk about having two staff members or more during the night shifts but those costs would probably be devestating to the store.

I'm not advocating arming clerks. But you can't trust these scum bags not to assault you after they get what they want.

Pretty sure 7-11 has two people on at all times now?

Nope. Maybe some of them do, but I was just at one tonight and only one guy around.

Naw, this is Canada. They'll let him go pretty quick.

Other guy was probably in the back doing stock or cleaning. I did night shift at a 7-11 for awhile and there was a requirement to have 2 people on shift at all times, though that was 15 years ago. There was at least one time where someone on the night shift called in sick and the manager had to cover them since no one else was available, then work their standard morning shift right after. Did not envy her job one bit
