A real cheap shot on Schultz by Brown. Shultz had played the puck from his knees and was facing the boards. Brown cross checks him into the boards - had to aim low to do it.

Suspension coming.

He slipped way before the play. He played the puck from his knees. It was long gone and Brown came up and cross checked him straight into the boards.

You really should watch it again. It was a dirty crosscheck from behind even if Schultz slipped. Brown still drove him face first into the dasher of the boards from behind.

Kings self destructing late in the game. Taking late penalties. Great to see.

That makes the playoff picture look a little less dire. Wouldve been back in eighth had the kings won.

Playoff picture looks great considering where we were at the start of 2018

two of the three divisional spots are there for the taking

The interesting thing about the way the NHL arranges the standings:

When the Flames started their break, they were behind LA and ahead of San Jose. Without having played a game, the flames are now behind San Jose, and ahead of LA.

After today's games, LA has 53 points and Flames have 54 points. How could we have started the break behind them?

You must have looked before they added the points from the Carolina win

That's not true. After the flames beat Carolina on Sunday and started their break, they were in second in the division ahead of both LA and San Jose.

Sharks have gone 2-1-0 since Sunday, and have tied the flames in the standings. They have now played one less game and take second place because of that.

Kings have lost two games since Sunday and haven't passed the flames and blew the two games they had on CGY.

Mighty Nate MacK now just 4 points behind Kucherov for the Art Ross and gaining. it was fun for a while thinking we had the top 2013 pick, but Cole Harbour's 2nd favourite son has officially arrived.

Mackinnon is back. And I love it, even if he isn't on the flames. The kid is a stud.

He's having a great year, but you seem a little too eager to anoint him best in class. It was too soon to declare Monahan the best of 2013 before, just as it's still too soon to declare anything.
