I assume they maybe do that because at night they do some cleanup and don't have a lot of customers or keeping out the riff-raff at night. After finishing my coffee I head to the washroom that's on the side of the stanchions blocked off and the guy comes out running telling me I can't use the washroom. I told him I would be quick and he ramped up said a loud "No!". I was kind of startled actually as I haven't seen this before and assumed if you are going to let people eat and drink inside that you have to provide washrooms especially when they are right there. Seems kind of dumb.
coffee before a concert?

I would never use the toilet for a number two but as long as they have a urinal, soap, and means to dry my hands it's better than holding it.

Ha ha no it was In Flames. I get up at 5:00 am so going to a concert on a weeknight makes for a long day. Had drinks once I got to The Palace.

Over-used term on the internets - "rinse and repeat". Adds nothing. Leave it for shampoo bottles.

Having not bought luggage in a long time I didn't realize how expensive that stuff is now. $300+ (regular price) for a carry on? $800 for a suitcase? #### off!

I think that you can find much better prices than that. Heck, you could go with Pelican cases for less than that.

Screw that. I'm still using a backpack and a hockey bag.

Check the basement of the Bay downtown. We found lots of decent prices.

We bought a piece of luggage where the wheel didn’t quite survive Paris streets. Anybody know where you can get replacement parts?

When I roped a handle off my suitcase I went to handys luggage on Manhattan road to fix it. Cost me like 10 bucks for them to fix and replace the rivets.

The last day of work before heading on vacation for 10 days.

Everyone seems to act like the world is going to end and panics.

Slush puddles in my garage. Then my kids step in it, and get in their car seats and kick the back of the seats.

Kicking the mud flaps on my driveway helps, as does my monster 24" floor squeegee. But its impossible to prevent.

When I win 649, garage floor grates with a drain is the first thing I'm building into my custom house.

And the first thing you'd do is drop your keys.

If you win the lottery, just hire a team to hand clean and dry the floor every time you drive in or out.

Is luggage ever regular price? Every time I have ever walked past the luggage section, it is 60-80% off. Whatever the luggage store in the mall is has a permanent sale banner.

Got great Delsey suitcases for $120 USD (to my best recollection) from amazon.com while we were down in Tucson - had them delivered the next day to our condo.

You just missed a solid sale. Bay Days just ended last weekend and most of their luggage was 70% off. Really needed new luggage (sick of borrowing from the parents) and came across the Bay. Bought 3 pieces that normally would have been about $1000 for $300.

Just goes to show the unreal markup on crap like this.

Costco has some decent options. $200-300 should easily get you 1-2 check in and 1 carry on for reputable brands and sometimes high quality options like Heys shows up at Costco which is like 3 pieces for $300 ish.

And then Winners has whatever you need for between $50-150 for carrying, add 50% for check in size.

Amazon has some solid options too.

I thought garage drains were not allowed due to chemicals?

I've heard of people who chip out a trench and put metal grates on top, then shop vac the liquid out though. That's something that I'd love to explore in tandem to a heated garage to deal with the water that accumulates near the garage door, which then freezes in a way that keeps the garage door from sealing properly (or ices outside and then people slip and fall).
