Not as good as the first movie, for sure. I'm surprised it has such high ratings actually. Emily Blunt gave a good performance but otherwise there isn't much new or interesting to see here.
Someone on here expounded on their admiration of Strange Days awhile ago
That was me. I never miss an opportunity to try and point people towards its direction. Though I don't know if I would describe at as a dystopian movie.
Along the same lines, I really think Gattaca is under-rated starring the very under-rated Ethan Hawke. I think it's close enough that one could describe it as a dystopian film.

That seems to be the case with a lot of M Night Shyamalan films. I remember watching The Happening thinking there was no way that movie was made with any seriousness whatsoever.
It has one of the, if not the, best knife fight scene I have ever seen on film. Not Hollywoodized at all. Honestly about as real as it gets. If that kind of thing tweaks your bum, then by god search it out on Amazon Prime.

As I always do when Strange Days is brought up, I want to mention it has the most effed up scene in movie history. You know the one. So messed up.
I saw Strange Days in the theater and rewatched a couple times since, most recently a few months ago. I'm trying to think of a scene more disturbing than Irreversible or American History X. Cops shooting the rapper?
My favourite line in the movie was when the woman looks in the mirror and gasps, "My back! I need my calcium!"
