Hey, you all know me as Scorp but I'm Mike and I've recently started another quarantine project: a podcast. Despite the show not being exclusively about sports, I've arranged a couple cool guests from Sportsnet to feature in a big segment on one of my first shows: Ryan Leslie and Eric Francis.
I'm sick of talking about old games and all that — there's so much intrigue surrounding what remains of the season and free agency and the draft and the future of this hockey club. So I want to have a great hockey conversation with these two and I look forward to sharing it with you. I'm going to try and make the segment resemble one I would love to listen to on the radio.
I have a lot of Flames and hockey topics I want to discuss but I'm also looking to you guys to potentially provide some questions for me to ask Ryan and Eric. We're scheduled to record in a few days so there's plenty of time to suggest some topics for the show. Also, I'd love some other suggestions for potential guests — I'd love to talk sports with all sorts of people on the show... unless this episode goes poorly, in which case, what podcast?

The episode with Ryan and Eric won't be out till Monday the 11th. Future episodes will be released weekly every Monday. I decided to structure releases like that to start the week off right.
The only episode up right now is my teaser episode, which, in all honesty, I recorded before I knew either Ryan or Eric or anyone from the media would agree to be on the show. It kinda posits the show exclusively as a comedy venture, which, if you know me, would be somewhat ill-advised. It's still going to be something of a wacky variety show but I plan on making sports more of a main focus as opposed to the peripheral topic I originally planned it to be.
The structure of the show is, as of right now, going to be laid out in two halves. The first half (30-ish minutes will cover fun little bite-sized topics I found throughout the previous week before recording. It will (hopefully) be entertaining and funny. The second half of the show will alternate between being a big sports segment or movie segment, depending on how I feel every week/how guests line up.
And who knows — maybe when sports come back, it transitions into a full-on sports show. That's the beauty of managing your own medium. But I started it just as a thing to try and entertain my friends, first and foremost, hence the additional focus on weird niche topics.

Wow that’s a pretty good get scorp on those 2 doing the pod cast. Unlike many on CP I actually like Francis. Think he is great in interviews. Sure he has some click bait/ rile me up comments but for the most part I agree with a lot of what he says.
I would ask Francis why he only thinks flames will kick tires on Hall? He did state because of backend but I don’t buy it. I think flames will take a serious run on acquiring him. Also like to hear Leslies thoughts on it
