Spurs and Raps both let the 24 second shot clock expire on the first two possessions of the game to honour Kobe.

#### me, this reminds me of when I found out McNair was killed, I can't think of another Athletes death that has affected me this much. I used to watch the NBA when Kobe and the Lakers were winning championships but haven't watched since (except for the Raptors last year).

It's so insane that we were all just talking about him after LeBron passed him in points, just doesn't seem real.

It’s hard to overstate how beloved Kobe is among current NBA players. Most of them are too young to have seen much of Jordan but they all grew up watching Kobe play.

I’m still in disbelief guys. Kobe is my all-time favorite basketball player and was a huge part of my childhood. He was bigger than just basketball. He was a true icon and someone you knew was gonna give his all every night on the court. He could go 2-30 and yet catch fire in the 4th and steal the win for his team. And also add that his 13 year old daughter left with him as well.....this is just an awful tragedy all around. May him, his daughter and the victims souls find peace as well as their families.

This was his chopper actually

He has had it for years and years...used to take it to home games as it saved stress on his body from sitting in a car two hours each way.

Think it's the same helicopter actually. Just a paintjob.

Another minor correction from reading reports on this tragedy, he didn't own the aircraft, leased or frequently rented it. Small quibble.

RIP to a sporting icon and his young daughter.

Shocking. Hard to believe that one of the game's all time legends could leave this world so abruptly. At the end of the day, we are all mortal.

Very sad to hear that his daughter died too.

Condolences to the Bryant family during this difficult time.

Edit: to the poster of the thread, can you maybe remove that tag from the thread? I think this is neither the time nor the place for that...

Just a total legend who transcended sports, and then his poor daughter going so young too. What a tragedy. Hope his wife and surviving kids get all the love and support they need to pick up the pieces. I can't imagine what they're going through.

All the local FB buy and sell groups I belong to have multiple people selling Kobe Bryant stuff at marked up prices. Sometimes I really hate people.
