Pelletier is having exactly the type of season I was hoping he was going to have. Hes a legit elite prospect and is going to be fun to follow as the season goes on.

Let’s cool our jets a bit here. He’s 5’9 and 165 pounds. Doesn’t have NHL size on a team that desperately needs some size. He’s a prospect at this point, but elite is an overstatement. You don’t get elite prospects at 26.

Nikita Kucherov and others would disagree with your assertion, but it is way to early to elevate Pelletier to elite status.

Lil Zav has grown two inches since being drafted, Jankowski has also grown two inches after his draft year.
Even if he gets to 5'10 it's fine, a lot of people don't realize this but Crosby is 5'10, and this hasn't stopped him from being the best player in the world for the past 10 years.
Today's game is much more about motor and speed than muscle, Pelletier needs to work on his speed, the rest is already there.

Sounds a lot like Sam Bennett. I think we know where that type of player stands. Size and speed matter. He's not an elite prospect and has some serious physical challenges as well as holes in his game. Let's not blow his potential out of proportion. Sam Bennett wished people didn't.

Nov.16:
Milos Roman 3rd star with 2 goals, +3 in a 4-0 win over Prince George.
21games- 10g/6a for 16pts, not so impressive for a Draft+2 player. He's been pretty invisible at the prospect camps too-not sure how to feel about him as a prospect....
Side note-Everett put Wolf's backup in (Keegan Karki?) and he let in 5 goals on 35 shots in a 5-4 OT loss to Winnipeg. Wolfie still sits at 2.14GAA, .936SV%

I think your taking my post a bit far.
Never claimed he had game breaking abilities, I think everyone here on the boards has tempered expectations with Pelletier. Guy is going to be a middle six forward, his skillset indicates the such.
If Bennett was drafted 26th overall no one would have a problem with his game either... Sometimes just let it go, I mean you win some and you lose some.
We got Johnny and Brodie in the 4th round, be happy

Pelletier, Zavgorodniy, and Roman all played today, and all were held pointless.
Wolf was first star with a shutout, stopping 22 shots.

A Brendan Gallagher type would suffice.

#flames prospect Dmitri Zavgorodnyi will be out 8-12 weeks (broken collarbone). Tough blow for Rimouski and Russia with the world junior starting in about 5 weeks.

Nov 23:
Milos Roman with a goal and an assist (2nd star) in a 5-4 OT win over Edmonton. 24g-11g/7a/18pts +8
Dustin Wolf was scored on 4 times on 34 shots in a 4-3 loss to Portland.
17gp-2.05GAA/.936%. Everett has the best win % in the Dub, but sits at 5th in the league due to less games played than the top 4.
Pelletier with 2a in a 4-2 win over Halifax. Moncton is still sitting 2nd in the Q with a 19-5 record.

Typically when an 18 year old is top 5 in league scoring it means he's a little better than just a prospect. Not elite yet but blue chip should fit

Not too shabby, considering Spokane is tied for 8th in goals scored.
