I really want lindholm and hanifin to come in and realize their potential as top 5 draft picks
I really want Bennett to step up to a legit top 6 winger.
I really want Valimaki to push kulak off the team and give Treliving options to push a veteran defenceman off the team next summer
I really want to see parsons light up the ahl

I want Monahan, Lindholm, or even Janko to take a big leap and become an elite #1C. IMO everything else is moot unless this happens, or we acquire that level of C through a trade.

Win one round or four. 2 or 3 is too big of a tease.
Everything else as far as details on how it gets to that, is noise. Would you give up the next 5+ years of individual player development or the coach playing the proper system etc etc, for a SCF win? Yes.
Beat the Oilers every game. Humiliation as Mr. Dunlop has put it, in some or all of those. Have the Oilers finish last but lose the draft lottery.
Have to Toronto media force Matthews out, in the soap opera with him and Babcock (with Tavares the shiny new toy) as the Leafs also stink things up.

Bennett to turn it around, become the next Doug Gilmour he was projected to be and push our already solid second line center down to become the best third line center in the league.
Smith to stay healthy.
If this happens, we're making a solid push to the conference finals. Winnipeg/Nashville/St. Louis will be the real test

What is something you REALLY want to happen next season?
It would be awesome if one rookie forward and one rookie defenseman solidified themselves in the top six and top four.
Gaudreau - Monahan - Neal
Tkachuk - Lindholm - Foo
Frolik - Backlund - Ryan
Bennett - Jankowski - Czarnik
Giordano - Brodie
Välimäki - Hamonic
Hanifin - Stone
If not Foo and Välimäki, perhaps one of Mangiapane, Dubé, Kylington or Andersson.

I have a wedding MC gig for 2 Oiler fans in June, the more material the better.
1) Flames beatdown Grease in the BOA
2) Playoffs out of reach for E=NG by trade deadline or earlier
3) Less than 20 points for Lucic and a +/- uglier than his mug
On the Flames side.
1) Rebound season for TJ Brodie, and resulting career season for the captain
2) Johnny finishes in the top 5 of league scoring and is a Hart finalist (with Matthews and Laine)
3) As a result of #2, 30+ for Monahan and the Real Deal.
