Default Trustworthy e-Recycling Services

My parents's 50" LCD Projection (so the 1' thick variety, not flat panel) TV has died.

There seems to be a few "free" services for e-waste pickup here in town. Most seem to be by individuals and I'm a little wary of the sketchyness of some of their websites.

Has anyone used a service that they'd recommend?

Alternatively - How's the Spyhill landfill for e-recycling? Do you have to unload it yourself into a pile or does someone do that for you? (like the one at Currie Barracks did, at least they did 6 years ago)

I've taken plenty of stuff to the e-recycling depot near the Currie Barracks. They just ask you to pop the trunk, stay in the vehicle, and they'll remove it for you.

It appears to have been moved west across the street now, opposite of the barracks.

If you're on the east end of the city the Chestermere recycling depot is a quick and easy drop off one, just toss whatever you have into the designated pile

These guys do our office stuff, I think they are slow becuase they ask once a month for stuff.

I think they only do pickup if you have more than 20 items. But they have a depot, I'm sure they'd unload it for you.
