Skip the dishes...anyone using this app?
I tried it last night and think it's great. Kinda mad I didn't know about it before. The GPS tracker is great as well.

You're*.
There's a tip. Bigger than the one the driver got yesterday.

I've only ever used it for pickup. It's pretty handy. Getting the big discount on the first order is nice too.

I use it quite a bit.
But geez it would be nice if it had less Viet places and more variety.

Tried to use it once, jumped through a bunch of hoops only for the system to be down, never bothered with it again.

Every restaurant is different but I've noticed it ranges from about $2.50 -$$4.
Some offer free delivery with certain amount purchased.
And tip the drivers, they make the full delivery fee plus all tips and do not get paid hourly.

I know people who tip through the app and not the driver directly, some discussion online about where that tip goes and possibly the driver doesn't see it. can anyone confirm? cause if that's the case then you'd just never tip with the app...unless you are the type that tips when picking up the food yourself.
then again if you order from the same place a lot, is tipping the restaurant kind of like paying protection money for your order to ensure that it doesn't receive any "special" toppings?

Just used it the once so far. Agreed that the GPS tracker is a nice touch. It was funny watching the driver circle the block a couple times trying to find our house.

I disagree with the concept of tipping the driver before you get your delivery, but worry that if you don't pre-tip, you are going to get crappier service. Stupid tipping.

I use SkipTheDishes a ton, more than I really should / need to. I have two grocery stores within walking distance, I'm an outstanding cook... I just like the convenience.
Plus Big T's BBQ on Crowchild is available on Skip. Mmm, ribs. *drool*

Every time I've used it my food has ranged from cold to lukewarm.
Maybe it's because I've never tipped the driver beforehand?

This makes zero sense. Most restaurants do not deliver.
