I probably haven’t watched more than a handful of Raptors games since Vince missed that shot almost 20 years ago but that was awesome. No matter how many times I watch that clip it feels like time slows down when that ball bounces on the rim.
What a moment and is definitely going to live in Toronto sports history. We’ll see how it stands the test of time for Canadian sports moments but you can never take away how dramatic it was with the ball hanging on the rim.
In Vegas for work and the Caesar’s sports book went nuts there for a minute.
I think the hype will peak when they take Game 1. They will then probably lose in 5.
But it doesn't matter - that's what's so great about a moment like that. It lives on forever even if you don't win it all. I was thinking about what to compare it to last night, and thing it most reminds me of is Yzerman's slapper in game 7 2OT against the Gretzky Blues. That's an all-time moment that everyone can picture, and it doesn't matter that the Red Wings got beat by the Avalanche in the following round. It's sports history. Obviously I wasn't in the building, and I wasn't there in person for this, but they're both things I'll always remember watching.

It wasn't just the shot itself, it's that the Raptors have had so many disappointments and let downs, and had that shot not gone in I'm sure 99% of Raptors fans expected to lose in OT. They probably will lose easily to Milwaukee, but they'd lose the Warriors too. It was just nice to finally not be disappointed, and to do so in such a monumental way makes it a special moment.

Overhype is reaching blue jays levels. Wont be upset after the bucks sweep them.
What are you talking about? Everyone is going crazy and having fun at that particular moment. Most still know they likely won't win round three. Like what is this post supposed to even be? Lame
I do appreciate that troutman thanked it though, as he hates that Canadians unite over Toronto sports teams in MLB and NBA, lol. He's so passive and friendly, but he always snipes on that topic.
Oh yeah, I forgot you're the other poster that gets butthurt about the Jays when people get excited (you know, the whole point of cheering for sports teams).

Especially since most of us are Flames fans and we are so used to being disappointed.
