It is well produced. I love Elisabeth Moss but wouldn't mind if we had a little less of her snarls and extended steely stares. I thought it jumped the shark a little in the very last episode.
I understand season 5 will be the last one so will watch to see where it ends up.
I went to South Center for the first time in a couple of years. I wandered around and went into the record store. I normally don't buy DVD's anymore, but I looked to the left and saw the entire Babylon 5 box set including all of the movies. Guess what I'm going to be doing.

Ah yes, B5, DS9 with better writing, better acting, but a lower budget and no built-in star trek fan base.

Slogging through the drag that is the first season to get to one of the greatest sci-fi shows ever written?
I thought Heels was very well done and very well acted.
Spoiler!
I remember reading Heath McCoys excellent Stampede Wrestling book where the Great Gamma talked about the behind the curtain where the Heels were the nice guys in real life, always went home to their families. The Faces were the hard partiers and the not very nice people. It was the same here. The super popular face brother, was chewing Oxy, snorting coke, was pretty horrible to his girl friend when he got his opportunity, that's likely gone now. Acted like an a%% in public, didn't understand the business at all.
Meanwhile the brother who played the face was the responsible family man, he has some ego issues but overall he's just that good guy outside of the ring.
Loved the scene where he was stopped at a railway crossing and he gave these little kids the mean look and they ran for the hills and he drove away laughing.
I felt so bad for the Face's girlfriend, she just wants to break into the business, but she's not taken seriously.
The grizzled vet who came down to the DWL to scout out Ace, he was suppossed to be a combination of Macho Man and Jake the Snake, encouraging Ace to stiff his brother in the ring.
The ending wasn't quite a Montreal Screw Job, it felt more like the Hulk Hogan story of him being in training and a veteran said "So you want to be a wrestler kid?" Then posted and broke his leg.
So we got basically a double turn as the audience turned on the hero and really on the DWL because of the quick finish of a main event match. Meanwhile the Heel did what he had to do to protect his business, while destroying his brothers chance at going to the big leagues, and practically wrecking his own business to protect the story.

I tried to get into No Activity after seeing some positive reviews and so many big names involved, but it's definitely not for me. I got 2 episodes in but the whole format of watching two people talk to each other for half an hour with nothing actually happening plot wise was incredibly boring. At least the show title is honest

Sounds like My Dinner with Andre, I tried to sit through that to impress a girl.

Just blasted thru Veep in about a week. I probably would have found it funnier if I had watched it pre-Trump when it would have seemed more like parody. Now it’s just kind of sad to realize how accurate it is. Definitely had some laughs, but I found it actually kind of disturbing overall haha.

So got through the first 5 episodes of season 1 of Babylon 5.
Its so well acted except for the guy Michael O'hare who played Sinclair. He was just stoic to the point of being cardboard. The rest of the cast was excellent. Claudia Christian was maybe trying to hard to be Russian.
Ioved the scene where Garibaldi invited Delenn to his place and they ended up watching Looney Toons, and Garibaldi was just laughing his ass off and she's trying to figure out popcorn.
The first episode linked directly to the last episode where Londo predicted his death at the hands of G-Kar 20 years in the future.
The effects themselves and some of the sets really didn't age well, but they would rapidly improve over the later seasons. In a way season 1 so far is so much like deep space 9 with stand alone episodes that really work to merely establish characters.

Watched the first episode the other day- Was well done, interested to see where it's going
I just found a series recently which started in 2007 called Burn Notice, and ran 7 years
It is about a guy who was an international spy and suddenly found himself black listed and without access to normal resources and protocols
He has a friend who is also informing on him, Bruce Campbell, and an interesting ex girlfriend / former IRA (if I recall correctly) (Gabrielle Anwar), who is great tactically while being involved in the dramatic arc , as the main character takes in odd jobs while trying to figure out who put the burn notice on him and why
Just a season in so far, but it’s been decently entertaining to this point
^ I love Burn Notice for easy entertainment, but then again, I'm a huge Bruce Campbell fan. I'll literally watch anything he's in. He's always so affable, no matter what the story or character in the show.
