Yeah I put my name in a a couple weeks ago. I am also going to NYC soon and as long the host isn't a massive draw, I will be one of the fools sitting out on the street for 12+ hours in the hopes of getting tickets.

We did this when in NYC for the Jane Lynch show. It really wasn't that long. We lined up at 6 am and were about 30th in line for standby tickets. They came out at 8 or 9 and gave everyone in line numbered tickets and we came back later that night to line up for the show. Only 10 or 15 people got in on standby and I think we waited for an hour or two. Overall not that bad to wait. In the AM, New York is great with a bunch of breakfast food trucks. And at night, well there are a lot worse places to stand around waiting than Rockefeller Centre.

Waikiki hockey. It was pretty terrible. I think I have it on VHS tape at home somewhere.

Any cast departures this year? Please say Beck Bennett and/or Kyle Mooney aren't coming back.

Banned for OJ jokes? Seriously?

Who didn't do OJ jokes?

He was at the reunion right? I forget. The Jeopardy sketch perhaps?

Yeah most of the bans seem to be Michaels just being a bit of a prick.

IIRC, at the time the President of NBC was a personal friend of OJ, and Norm was warned not to make jokes.

Norm has since returned and wrote and performed Celebrity Jeopardy on the 40th anniversary.

Norm was fired for OJ jokes, then banned for improvising during his hosting monologue, then got that ban lifted somehow so he has been back since

Charles Rocket was also famously fired from SNL for swearing. He had s big role in Dumb and Dumber.

We wasn't just improving.

he warned the audience that he hadn’t gotten any funnier, and that the only reason he was brought back was because “the show’s gotten really bad.”
LOL.

Jenny Slate was fired for swearing.

I love that video, my favorite was him just trying to figure out why they brought him in to host. You kind of have to watch it as obviously Norm's legendary delivery is what makes it so funny.

"In a year and a half, how did I got from being not funny enough to be even allowed in the building, to being so funny that I'm now hosting the show?".
